Awesome task level time tracking app!

K0demunkey

I’m a contractor with a large organization. As such, I have to track the time I spend working on multiple tasks so I can properly bill for my time. I have been using the Pro version of the Now Then app for about a year and I love it! The app allows you to add your own tasks and sub-tasks and even allows scheduling out tasks. The app provides daily/weekly/yearly views of all your data as well as filtering control for fine tuning your data reports. I ran into one issue I experienced with the app after updating to the latest OS, so I emailed the app support and was contacted within the hour. Working with the developer/technician he helped me to resolve the issue and I was “up and running” again shortly after. I’m very thankful for the prompt response and attention I was given...thanks Robert! Overall, I would highly recommend the Now Then app to anyone looking for an easy way to track the time they spend working individual tasks for their job. The app is easy to use and you’ll wonder how you got along without it before.

Best app for simply tracking your time on the daily.

2019-10-04 - I have used this app daily for more than two years and, comparing it to other time-tracking apps like Toggl, aTimeLogger, and many others, it is truly the best app out there for people like me who just want to see where my time goes and how much time goes into my projects. My favorite feature is its choice of organizing tasks into a nestable tree structure with no limitations — the only app I’ve come across that does this. Additionally, each node (or “folder”) itself is a task that you can track, too. Other apps need a “General” or “default” task in each category, which is just unnecessary clutter. I also love how easy it is to look back at tracked time. It gives you your standard graphs, but it really shines at how easy you can go back in time and add filters. It’s just as easy to see what you did a year ago than yesterday. The standard CSV export option is there, too, for spreadsheet junkies like me.

Absolute Gem

I’ve tried other apps and this one is by far the best. No subscription bs. And also every feature is solid. I started with my iPad and thanks to the cloud feature, it easily syncs perfectly with my phone without much hassle.

Can you make sync better?

I heard this app was good so I purchased pro without hesitation. Now I’m having an annoying issue to turn on the sync with iCloud. Don’t know either apple or this app to blame. Bad bad experience.

Great for Tracking Time at Work

Before NowThen I my time entry notes were always incomplete and resulted in short days. Now I no longer hate entering my time and know exactly how long I worked. Love the customization availability.

Should be four stars.... (five when a MacOS version is produced.)

And I thought it was when I first tried out the basic version so immediately bought the pro version. Setting up all the categories was easy, starting, stopping a time block all fine. But now I want to export data and I can not find any way to do that. I’m supposed to be able to export via email, into another app(numbers?), and sync with other devices. I have not been able to do any of these. I’ve searched all of the settings to no avail. The FAQ’s are worthless. So I sent a message to tech support yesterday (a weekday) morning and have yet to here anything from the developers. I had such high hopes. It is looking now like a big waste of time.

Nice clean interface

I really like this app. It’s simple to use, yet has just about all of the features I need. Switching between different projects is quick. Correcting time when I’ve forgotten to switch projects is very easy. I expected to use the export feature, and wrote a Powershell script to parse the export files. It all worked well, but I found that the chart screen in the app had enough information that I didn’t need to go through the export and parse process. It’s not perfect. iCloud data sharing is flaky. I mainly use the app on my iPad, but on occasion I’ll use it on my iPhone. Pretty much every time, the data is not current on the phone. I have to go into the settings and switch off iCloud, switch it back on, and wait for the phone to download the data. The Today View widget is read-only; it would be nice to be able to switch between projects there. I think that would be a tough challenge to get the interface right, but I have hope. I’m more and more often using a hardware keyboard with my iPad, so some shortcut keys would be useful. And finally, I’d like a watch app. Despite those quibbles, I would hate to give up this app — it’s just too useful. Well done!

Easy to use and incredibly helpful.

“New normal” is a cliche for 2020, but it applies in this case. It’s a way I can frame my expectations and progress as I move forward. If I don’t record what I’ve done throughout the day, I’m screwed. I’ll repeat the same tasks unnecessarily and neglect critical time-sensitive work. A reliable, stable, app that enables me to track my day easily is a Godsend. As you might imagine, I’ve tried many of these apps - regardless of cost. While I’ve had the app for years, it has become my default time-tracking app since the start of The Plague. The learning curve for basic use is virtually non-existent. If the user puts in a tiny bit more effort, it shows its muscle. Developer support (responding to queries and semi-regular app updates) are top-notch. Especially now, I wish Apple would promote it more as I believe it can be a huge help for many as we try to find structure in our lives. If you’ve read this far. You’re obviously curious. My suggestion: download the app and see how it affects your life. I think you’ll be pleased.

Exactly what I wanted!!

Best app on the store!!

Excellent App and Features

HellzBells06

I have scoured the App Store searching for an appropriate time tracking app. I downloaded at least 10 apps trying them all. The Nowthen time tracking Pro is the only app that offered me everything I was looking for. All the other apps were good but always lacked one or two things that I needed. This was the only app I found that had it all. It even exports in the precise format I was searching for. Amazing! My only suggestion would be to now add the capability to utilize all of the existing functionality within various “project” headers. Great app. I hope it is around for some time and continues.
