It’s really very helpful tool for our small community, I am very excited to utilize the site and feed back I receive from the clients.

A name change is order

Green•Machine

Nextdoor should really consider changing its name to Karen. The endless whining and complaining is laughable.

Receiving posts for New Orleans neighborhoods

Johnee249

I do NOT follow neighborhoods in the New Orleans area but I still am receiving posts from persons in that area. Get notifications also. I am in SW Missouri. Fix it!

Too many notifications

abagelz

Most recent update turned ALL NOTIFICATIONS back on when I had them all off. There's no way to turn off all notifications with one button under settings; I had to go and manually turn off each notification one by one. Shame on you developers

Mixed review

I love the interesting interactions with people not only in my immediate neighborhood, but also nearby ones. There are numerous examples of neighbors helping neighbors, fund raisers for neighbors facing unexpected expenses (car repair, pets needing emergency vet care, funeral expenses, etc.). It is heartwarming and truly inspirational to see my neighbors pulling together to support each other. What I don’t enjoy is the way the app works, or more accurate doesn’t work! - Many times you press View in order to see a new post, but the app doesn’t take you there! No matter how many times you try, you are taken to another post on the app!! - The app is NOT user friendly - period!!! If you run into a problem, such as the one I mentioned above, it is VERY difficult, if not impossible to access Help much less contact your neighborhood “lead”. ONE, AND ONLY ONE TIME, have I ever have been able access Help and actually get a response from the Lead. The response was of no help whatsoever! I actually wrote a post asking if anyone else was having the same issue I mentioned above, getting access to posts, and I said that I was frustrated trying to access help. A neighbor responded telling me how to access it, and guess what? What apparently has worked for her wouldn’t work for me… even after 3 tries, then closing the app and reopening it and trying again AND turning my phone off completely and trying it again once my press back on! - The app is set up similar to Facebook in that someone can write an initial post and others can respond with emojis or a reply. And, like Facebook, people can reply to other replies. But, frustratingly different from Facebook, the NextDoor app is NOT programmed so that replies are listed under the post they are replying to! Giving an example would be way too long, but let it suffice to say that trying to read and make sense of a lengthy thread can be VERY CONFUSING!!! Overall, if you can put up with the “glitches” in the programming, there are a lot of positives that come from using and following the NextDoor app, but there’s definitely room for a lot of improvement.

Dangerous and Toxic

make me you fool

This app is truly awful. It offers no protection or support to innocent users who become targets of bullies and abusers. There is no regulation, and you have no recourse when someone targets you or your personal information. YOU CAN NEVER DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT! This app is EVERYTHING WRONG WITH SOCIAL MEDIA! TRULY AWFUL. DO NOT USE!!!! *and just to be clear - I DID report this abuse already and never heard anything. The neighbor that targeted me sent me a link on one of the posts I responded to that, when I opened it, exposed my email and every password to every bank account, credit card, utility bill, and social media account I have ever used. I REPORTED THIS TO THIS NEGLIGENT APP AND HEARD NOTHING BACK. This app is DANGEROUS. The follow up here on this review is only because they are being publicly exposed. DO NOT USE THIS APP. You are putting yourself at risk with absolutely zero protection from the apps moderators. There are no procedures in place to protect you. NONE

Hard to delete

Fortitudine Farm

I’ve tried so many times to delete this app and yet it still takes up space on my phone

It’s more like Worldwide now

TonyaaStaples

This app used to great. It has become more and more expansive and now includes posts from as far as California. That’s 3000 miles away from me; definitely not “next door”. I only need to see the area I chose.
