Trouble communicating message

Trouble communicating with next door. Please try again later is the message I keep getting when trying to use the app. Also TOO many ads!

I enjoy getting emails about the neighborhood. There is so much going on in Walla Walla and this is a good way to keep up with it. I’ve used the want ads to advertise for a pickup for sale and got it sold. I got a free electric lawnmower by watching the information that comes in. There’s lots of good info on scams, burglaries, and folks to watch out for. And....you can learn things you didn’t know about society, social interactions, and community. Worth the time definitely.

It's a great way to alert neighbors about events in your neighborhood. It used to be much better. There are too many commercial adds & lots of posts for trashy things for sale that one needs to weed through. There are already sites for that. Update 1/18. Please put the for sale items on a separate thread. There actually is one, but it doesn’t work. All the adds for everything from manicures to hauling, to tamales shows up on the home page. It’s too time consuming to weed through all of that to get to my neighborhood info. Some topics get dicey, and that's what the mute button is for.

Great app. I wish I could kids my street name though. We already have to verify we live in the specific neighborhood. People don’t need to see my street name on my profile. Also I think moderators could shut don’t certain threads that delve into name calling and bickering. That part is really annoying. Other than that I love the info you get on this app

Privacy isn't respected

This website says that we must build a sense of security among the community however it does not respect people's privacy. I got kicked off for using the first letter of my last name instead of spelling it out! The person who emailed me only signed his name as Shane and when I wrote back to him asking for his last name I did not get a response! That makes me suspicious! They already have soft where that shows a map of exactly where you live and they want our name too!? We have weirdos living among us! Why can't we use this site and not keep our identity private!? How do we know someone at this company isn't using our names and addresses and what we report for something? When the person who kicked me off won't tell me their last name, I feel this is a trustless app! It would be nice to have a company respect our privacy and be transparent with what they Are asking us for!

Needs to have review/rating for local businesses in the recommendation section! How much easier would it be than having to go to Yelp and the like, when it could be right in the app!

Updating review after using for an Year It’s a really useful app and can get better. One suggestion would be the ability to share posts from one neighbor with another neighbor. Someone posts moving boxes available and another posts moving boxes need-would be great if we could just tag them in each other’s posts easily and quickly. ————————————————— Lot of scope of improvement with regards to number of messages one gets - in classifieds, once an item is sold there should be a way to mark it sold so that one doesn't have to open the message to go through entire history just to find at the end that it is already sold - similarly in lost and found there should be a way to mark the status - there should be a way to flag those messages that I am not interested in so I don't see them in the feed - i should be able to archive my post if I don't want to receive replies any more

Great app, wish it was used for better things. The people who are active on this platform seem to be the kind of folks who freak out over a black Man walking down the street, or the dangers of stray cats.
