Trash App - less than 1 star.

No Onions

Service sent email saying I had closed accounts. Logged in to find that app shows all of my accounts as closed with a 0 years of credit history. Tells me to dispute with TransUnion... I think not. I already checked your info is wrong. I do not trust you any longer with my information. **Also submitting to the contact us link in your app is trash too - doesn’t work or claims to have failed. Who knows, you probably received my attempt to contact you 20 times. If this happened to me it probably happened to others.

Like it so far but...

Maggie_25

I like the app overall so far. It’s clean and fairly intuitive but there are some features I find lacking in the cash flow trackers. 1) How is there not a cash flow category for student loans/ education expenses in this day and age? That seems like a huge oversight. 2) There’s no categories for dependent care (furry or human) so vet expenses get classed under healthcare and daycare/school tuition gets listed as “other”. 3) I like the bill feature but I think it would be improved if you could identify multiple instances of a bill (like an electric bill) and have it keep a running average. Also, when you expand the details for a transaction, there should be an option to make it a recurring bill rather than the app picking a handful of transactions it thinks are bills and asking if you’d like to make them bills. It seems anything not on that list has to be entered as a bill manually which is annoying. 4) I don’t see a search feature in the transactions. It would be nice if you could search a keyword and group those transactions into a bill or spending category. As an example, renting a video from Prime gives a unique transaction ID every time, but they all start the same. Being able to search that initial starting string and applying a label would be really helpful to tracking spending in a particular area. 5) Custom labels in the cash flow would also be nice. Other than that it’s a neat little app and I like it. It could definitely be more functional though with a few tweaks.

WOULD BE A 5 STAR

This app and others like it are such great tools. I have followed Nerd Wallet online for quite some time. I’ve used Mint but find it not as personable and helpful as this one. The only thing I would do to improve it is to expand the categories for spending. There are no categories for “Home Improvement” “Taxes” “Debt payment” “Kids” etc. I end up putting a lot under “other” or “fees” and that’s not really helpful when looking for a true breakdown. That’s pretty much the only advantage of Intuit, but I don’t want to log on to Intuit daily as it is not as inviting as Nerd Wallet. Nerd wallet engages my interest with articles, tips, graphics ease of adding accounts. Great find!

Can’t connect investment account

Changeisntalwaysgood

Been going back and forth with customer service for weeks trying to address an account connection error. Not addressed, which is a bummer because I like the layout over Personal Cap, but without accurate data, it doesn’t fit my needs.

I can’t save a new bill after inputting all the criteria- tapping the save button does nothing.

No landscape view for iPad

mwerq

I couldn’t get over the fact there isn’t a landscape view for iPad. Every other financial planning app has that functionality at least.

Never connects

TechGeek79

After several months of it not linking my checking account I see no reason to keep using this service. I was looking forward to the insights they promised but it just doesn’t work for me.

No landscape support on iPad

Neon Swole

Please, bring landscape support to the iPad. It’s really annoying having to turn the iPad around every time I open and close the app. Also, I use my iPad with a keyboard all the time and having the app force me to turn the iPad around makes no sense.
