I’m about to be 30 and I wish I had known about this app sooner! It has helped me build my credit, manage my bills, and budget all in one! I live being able to have all of my finances and bills in one app. It makes my life a lot easier and organized. I tell everyone I know to get this app. It has helped me so much and continues to help me every day.

This app has been a great help over the last year I have bought a home and I am retiring and it is a great tool to help you navigate what you need to do.

Lacks deal with Capital One

I cannot live here anymore

NerdWallet is almost a perfect app for me, but it doesn’t have a business relationship with Capital One and so I can’t link my credit card.

A little buggy and portrait mode

No landscape mode which is annoying on an iPad. Also, with initial sign in there were some bugs with enabling touch ID and notifications. Basically it acted like it was unsuccessful when I clicked enable touch ID and I had to back out. Same for notifications. Further review of settings showed that they were successfully enabled.

Having Difficulty

I love the app but it’s not working. Every time I click on it to it doesn’t load. My internet is fine because every other app on my phone works fine. It doesn’t work on WiFi or cell data. I uninstalled and reinstalled it. I rebooted my phone, reset my network settings. Nothing is making it load like normal the messages says “Oops! we’re having trouble connecting to Nerd Wallet. Please try again later” at first I thought that many you were doing updates and it was a down for maintenance thing but it’s been 3 days. Please help fix! Thank you

The App Gets It... Your bank however, might not.

All in all. The app is good and I believe everyone should evaluate a budget often. Not a one and done. This app communicates with all your banks but some banks will deny the app access which makes your tally’s and calculating all off. Be honest with yourself in how much you make and it should do a decent job. The amount of time I check this thing and feel good because it catches some ODD stuff. 4 outta 5 stars

Updates Not Accurate

I really like NerdWallet, because I compare it to another credit monitor app. I have noticed that here in NerdWallet isn’t up to date on my credit score, credit limits, my utilization, as the other apps are. My credit score has gone up, my credit limits have gone up and my credit utilization is half what it shows on here. Instead of updating every week, it should be updated everyday, as other apps. If I didn’t have other apps I would have never known that my credit score went up and utilization went down by half as what is in this app. With this said, it’s still a good app to have.

Don’t include account transfers in cash flow

Great app - just needs to be a little smarter. When including account transfers I.e checking to investment account, it is calculated as an expense. Investments should be considered just that. Additionally, payments to credit cards is a debt reduction, not an expense considering the app already counts the expenditure on an attached credit card. Example: If I buy bananas on my credit card, NerdWallet will add $5 to my expenses. Then when I pay off that $5, NerdWallet adds another $5 to my expenses.

I’ve been a Nerd Wallet fan for years, but just downloaded the app. It’s so streamlined and easy to use, but I won’t be able to fully utilize it until they add Capital One, which is who I bank with. I really hope that happens soon, because I would love to make this my main finance app! Being able to see all my other accounts in one place is great.
