It’s good buuuut
Haas86

I would give it more stars if they actually have an update for the iPhone X. It needs to fit for that phone. It looks boxy and old design when viewing articles on the iPhone X. Please update!!!

Great articles, Frustrating app
Good app- Mb5

I have been using this app for the last 6 years or so. It’s very basic and doesn’t offer much, especially in regards to engagement amongst readers. The most frustrating part about using the app is that after you read a linked article you have to completely shut down and close the app to get back to your page. The so called “Done” button doesn’t work and I feel like I waste way too much time closing the app article after article.

Why.
nickcap

Why does your app not work despite multiple similar reports & why does the App Store allow this garbage continue to be offered? It’s a conspiracy — I’m convinced.

Am I doing something wrong?
Varghs

Is anyone else unable to return to the app after clicking on links presented in the articles? I must be doing something wrong because it can't be true that a site whose entire existence depends on commenting on stuff other people wrote can't actually properly link to the original articles. It would also be pretty unethical journalistically to dissuade people from clicking on the original articles (because you'd have to restart the app every time you click on one). So frustrating.

The app doesn’t work too often
Little Challenge

I had to laugh when the request to rate this piece of waste popped up over the blank white screen which comes up way too often. Will it ever get fixed?

Bugs make it unusable
Matt LA

Same issues everyone else has and across all platforms. Any link within the article dead ends and you can’t get back to the article without force quitting. Also, I often have a blank white box appear over my iPad screen with no content and no way to close it without force quitting. Love or hate the content, the app itself is actually non functional and the lack of fixes or responses is appalling. This has been going on for a long time and would seem to be a simple fix. I’m going elsewhere for my sports news nowadays.

Open in Browser Instead
Rebel Conservative

I’ve been a daily reader of five years, and either this version has issues with an iPad Air 2 or just has issues. Many times, an article will automatically try and load a Twitter link in a window (without prompting) and freeze the application. This has happened more and more over the years, and now I can’t open ANY ProBasketballTalk article without the app freezing. You may as well just read this in a browser because the app is worthless...and judging by the comments, nobody in authority is reading the complaints. Florio is a hack on the PFT side, but the B-ball is great when accessible...it’s just not accessible anymore.

NBC does not care that this app is terrible
Apps Maven

You can read about the numerous issues with this app in the other reviews. But if you want to see just how little NBC cares about this app, view the iOS version history. One update in two years for “bug fixes” — of which there were many and continue to be many. C’mon, guys. At least, try to make this app more user-friendly.

Obnoxious extreme left bias and censorship
Etienne95616

This guy Craig C. just can’t help but inject invective after invective about conservatives and Trump and dress it up as a “sports story”. His writing is amateur—grammar mistakes abound—and he will block any dissenting views. Use ESPN or some other more professional app than NBC. The rest of the editorialists/bloggers can’t help but inject their political bias and prejudice into almost every article, and critical comments to the contrary are censored regularly. The writing style is amateur and the news is often behind most of the other sports apps. Amateur app at best.

Great content, amateurishly terrible user experience
super destroyer mark II

It is amazing how long problems such as pop ups that can’t be closed, videos that won’t play and app crash have been occurring without any fix. This user experience would be a joke for an app built by kids. Get your act together!
