Went for digital issues. Paid by credit card. Was charged and cannot sign in. Authentication failed. Did follow instructions and still cannot sign in. Very frustrating. Waste of money.
Tough to read on an iPhone

Get halfway through the story and either lock the phone or close the app. When you return it always defaults back to he beginning of the story. Frustrating to try and read articles without ever leaving the screen.
Why can’t you fix this app?

There are bugs that have persisted in this app for years. Why haven’t you fixed this? Try this. Open and article and start to read. The push the screen slightly to the left or right. BLAM! You’ve turned the page. Turn back and guess what? You’re at the beginning of the article. This can’t be that hard to fix. PLEASE do something about this and other bugs. I’ve kept this app hoping it would be updated, but I’m almost out of patience.
App has a lot of bugs.

The swipe gestures are too sensitive and if you swipe slightly in the wrong direction it will hop 1 page forward or backward. Then, when you go back to the page you were on it starts you back at the top and when you try to scroll down it does the same thing again.

I love this magazine and have been subscribed to it for several years. This year I tried to be more eco friendly and just get the mobile app subscription instead of a paper copy every month but that was a big mistake. This app makes reading very difficult. Please fix this app :( the magazine and the content are great but this app is infuriating. Not good.
Low quality images

I subscribe to National Geographic for the photography. The images in this app are of frustratingly low resolution, and there is no way of zooming in to an image. I will not resubscribe.
The app doesn’t save your place

This is almost unusable. As soon as the screen locks, my text size selection AND my current reading location defaults to the standard text size and the beginning of the article. This has to be corrected.
Stop reloading at the top of the article!

If you navigate out of the app and return, it puts you back at the top of the article. So frustrating to lose your space and have to scroll down to find it again

This app does not appear to work on iPad. I became a paid subscriber and was never able to access content through this app without being charged a $4.99 fee. Despite repeated requests, I only received unhelpful automated responses. After a month of having zero access to digital content I gave up asking for assistance and canceled my subscription.
