Accu-check Guide

doogir61

Started with a different meter, the Accu-check Guide was the better of the 2. Easier to use and less expensive .

Pretty good

I could do without the “cutesy” aspects of the app, but does a pretty decent job of helping me track my blood sugar. Editing entries takes too many clicks.

Fun, detailed logging; genius, supportive coach

New2DTech

This app makes logging worthwhile because you can include details that matter in a fun and easy way. When I upgraded to Pro and started interacting with my coach, the life value of this app went to a whole other level of awesome. I found the suggestions and feedback from my coach invaluable! It means a lot to have someone so accessible to give feedback on your data and to troubleshoot with regarding all kinds of potential solutions.

Add blood sugar count

shirley ingram

Will not let me manual add my blood sugar count and it will not record my sugar count.

New update is not as good

chmac99

I don’t like how it reminds us to enter carbs when bolusing. 1 I don’t want to enter carbs at all 2 sometimes we bolus to correct. Just an extra tap every time I enter data which is annoying

Helps a lot

Excellent tool to help share information with my doctor

Could be so much more useful

If this is the only app you use, it’s possibly adequate. If you track with multiple apps, it’s next to useless. CGM Data is not entered into the logbook other than as a graph. This means none of that information is used in estimating A1c, or other parts of the app. My meters (Accuchek Guide/GuideMe/Connect) often fail to import readings, necessitating multiple attempts. It would be easier to just keep a paper logbook, which is what this app is supposed to eliminate and make easier. The continued lack of a bolus calculator in the US version is also detrimental. (It’s been pending FDA approval for the several years I’ve been using the app. At least that part of the old Accuchek Connect app is still functional.) While menu items can sometimes be rearranged (data entry), the icons cannot, which means much side scrolling to make some selections. While my experiences have been negative with the app, I give full appreciation to the support staff. The developers could take some lessons.

4 stars would be 5 see below

I would absolutely give this a 5 star rating if there were a combination to track your food with this app. Maybe somehow if nutritionix and mySugr had a baby, it would be perfect.

I’ve been using this app for a while now and it’s really the right app for anyone battling diabetes. I love it. Try it and see for yourself.
