Worthless

Standing right next to the controller and the app can’t find any robots and my cleaner is a piece of crap too. It misses numerous spots in my pool and constantly gets stuck on the deep end main intake. I’m exceptionally disappointed all the way around with my brand new purchase. $1100 down the drain as I can’t return it.

....but it comes with very little information and no users manual. I have reached out to their customer service 4 times and never got to a real person. Website tells you to call and when you call it recommends you check the website. So no customer support AT ALL. Products need to come with an owners manual. It shouldn’t be the consumers responsibility to find the information on the website and then print it out nor should it be our responsibility to have the Internet or have a smart phone. It is their responsibility to get us the owners manual with the product itself. very disappointed!!


Pretty much pointless

You can turn the robot on and off. You can see when it will next run. You can see if it is currently running. You can steer it around if that entertains you, or you need to spot clean. Oh and did I mention you have to be standing pretty much right next to it so you might as well push the buttons on the controller yourself? Depending on your mounting location this might make it completely pointless. That said, I can talk to it through the wall so when it’s a million degrees out (Arizona) I don’t need to. So for a portion of the year that might be worth it. I have the Triton btw in case that matters, but I think it’s all the same. No way to set time of day that cycle runs, I think it’s only based on the last time you powered it of and on. No big “Clean” button which seems really really weird.

1) It would by nice if the time counted down to show how much time is remaining in the cleaning cycle time. 2) Links and Info page always shows a week Bluetooth signal so please fix this also.

Bought brand new 2 days ago. Doesn’t work, can’t sync app to unit. No instructions except “can’t find Dolphin stand closer” I was within 12” of iPhone to power supply. High end price terrible documentation. App says to do one thing and unit says to “scan code on power supply” with absolutely no instructions or option on app to do so.... would not recommend. A lot of money for a lot of aggravation.


Primitive at best

I don’t think that I have ever had an app that was this ineffective. Connection is very difficult and sometimes impossible, range is ridiculously short distance (need to hold phone 3ft/1m from control unit, though one troubleshooting guide says 30ft/10m), and level of manual control is laughably primitive/ not responsive. Desperately needs upgrading!!

I’m not sure what good having Bluetooth is if I have to be close to the control? I might as well use the box. Manual doesn’t work which is no big deal. If it doesn’t work, why have it? It would be nice if we could control the robot remotely if I’m away from home. The blue tooth function is worthless. Other than that the robot works great on the timer

This app was last updated 8 months ago. IPhone iOS has been updated. Since last month I can no longer even open manual mode and cant change cleaning mode. Can you please at least email your registered users to let us know the progress with plans for updates? Summer is short here in Maine and now I cant even manually control where the cleaner goes! What a waste.


Will not connect

From how much maytronics makes from their overpriced pool cleaners, you’d think they could afford a decent app, but nope! You need to stand 3 feet next to the power supply to connect and even then it still doesn’t connect. App doesn’t work, which is unacceptable since unit is sold with this as a incentive. Very disappointing..

I’m so beyond disappointed with this version of the past Dolphin we owned. The older one had a cloth filter that picked up every single bit of debris on the bottom of our in ground pool. This one I have to run over and over again and still debris is left behind. The reason we upgraded to this is because I have very bad arthritis in my fingers and fitting the bag onto the holder became difficult so we were so excited to see this new filter system. Well guess what I would do anything to have that Dolphin back. I wouldn’t even sell this one online to anyone because I don’t sell false advertising. So so so disappointed. Do not buy this one folks. ??
