Customer support is nonexistent. Hurdles are placed in order to contact someone such that it is at least difficult if not impossible. Would do more research before purchasing this product.
I stand right next to the power supply and it can detect it to sync to my phone.
The robot itself cleans fairly well. However, it does miss several spots, and in manual mode, very difficult to navigate. I would like to have Settings available through the app, which currently has Zero options.
I mean I expected to see some kind of feedback from the unit. I literally get to connect and see the unit is running. Great feature. Do I get to schedule a start time? Time remaining in cleaning cycle? Even know what the icons mean from the app? Nope. Other than trying to steer around the thing or knowing it's running pretty pointless Know to the only feature this has. Driving this thing around. Let's just call this the lag issue. Every command is delayed. The tilt mode is the best but cumbersome because you don't really know front back and lag. You would think after a few minutes I would be easy enough for a 8 yr old. But after a few minutes I could tell I was hardly gonna use that feature. If I missed anything please let me know.
Had it for two weeks and now I’m contemplating firing my pool guy. Works as advertised.
The app doesn’t match my M500 options. The timer option in the app goes to 2.5 hours...robot has a 3 hour option. Cleaning modes change the number of choices sometimes. Bluetooth is week, have to stand right next to it. Errors are incorrect...shows out of water error when it’s done cleaning. Shows unknown error. No notifications. Make the app as good as the robot and there would be no complaints. There are just certain features that are expected in today’s data rich world. Tell us everything you can. Give us choices. Like I said, robot is solid, no complaints. Just the app
I have had my S300i for two seasons now and while the robot works flawlessly (aside from occasionally getting stuck on the drain cover), the App leaves a lot to be desired. Aside from the design of the interface (which could use a engineer with good user experience and UI skills to upgrade), the Bluetooth connection is flakey. By flakey I mean some days it will connect as soon as I launch the App and then other days I have to literally unplug the robot from the power supply and unplug the power supply from the wall, DELETE the MyDolphin App (iPhone 7+ running iOS12), reinstall the app, plug everything back together and then hope the little Bluetooth light comes on when I launch the App. Come on Maytronics, it shouldn’t be like this! You guys need to do better as the App is seen widely by many folks as useless. I write extensively over at the Trouble Free Pools web forum and, while the Dolphin robots are well regarded, the App is routinely panned as a “useless feature”. You guys need to invest much more time and resources into making the app both functional and user friendly. You’re really dropping the ball here and other robot makers are going to capitalize on this failure.
