Downgrade from OS3

You can’t download anything to the app. Everything must be done by streaming which is upsetting when you want offline files. They even took off the music button to recognize music files so now I can’t shuffle all my songs as before. Horrible and probably won’t even use it anymore. Moving on to Amazon music. It was good while it lasted.

Working ok

MamaCesta

Works ok. But having a “under temp” warning….driving me nuts!

Amazing upgrade

Whit_1

speed reliability security is amazing on my NAS device. The upgrade also is excellent. And there is support for older devices.

Music doesn’t keep playing

B-randon...

Recent update doesn’t allow songs to continue playing. Album/playlist stops after every track

Reliable and consistent

HolgerBnyc

Great reliable backup - never have to worry about it.

Adding users to My Cloud does not support chrome

We had to use Internet Explorer to add users to the web portal for them to able to use the app.

Great OS

Much better than the prior OS versions. Remote access was chunky and slow. This version is much faster.

Crashes

The interface is improved, but could still be improved some more. The interface usually crashes within the first few minutes.

Too much wrong with this app

Scottnj1966

Western Digital’s support for their software is nonexistent after initial rollout. The software cannot search correctly and never has. It cannot find specific files even though a folder can have the exact name you are looking for. It cannot search in a specific folder either. This is a very basic feature. The thumbnails are so small you have to open an image to see what it is. They needs to be larger or zoomable. Another basic feature it does not have. Reading a long name of a file is very difficult. I’ve emailed, called, and messaged Western Digital for years about these issues, for this version and the last. You either get no response or unfortunately lies. I know this will not help get it fixed but hopefully new customers will stay away from their hardware.

Can’t Move Files Between Shares Anymore?!?

Ifeelyrpain

Not being able to move files from one share to another is a big downgrade from OS3.
