It Rarely Works

This is an application by Apple, yet it’s not optimized for the iPhone X that was released nearly a month ago. Not only that, but when you click the record button it rarely ever starts recording. This is easily the worst Apple-made application by a long shot.

Why isn’t there an iOS 11 update?

I love this app and have used it for years without any issues. But why is there all of a sudden a lack of iOS 11 compatibility? I can’t play any of my recorded tracks, and the integration and exporting process with Files needs a major overhaul

It’s a nice app but, it needs some work

Like the title says. It’s nice but there problems with it. My “Ideas” take literally forever to “prepare” and it doesn’t stop. How am I supposed to remember what my ideas are if I can never hear them again?

This app is everything a musician or singer could wish for. And it’s Apple’s redheaded stepchild. With the iPhone X out for a month now, still no update. I’m staring at a box in the middle of the screen. It is unreliable. I make a recording and it freezes. That recording is gone and I can never get that take back. It can be very sluggish. I want to open the app and hit record. It stalls and loads and recognizes the first press as a double if you try before it’s not finished with its sluggishness. Every time I open it , all the songs say “updating” because I’m connected to iCloud. I have to sit and wait before doing anything. AND Out of all the apps in the world why in the world can’t I listen to my memo when I exit the app? Also, I want to record while I exit the app. I keep my notes in a separate app. Or maybe I want to look at chords and lyrics in a website. With all that being said, it’s a great concept. I love how easy it is to add bass and drums. The sound quality is great. I love being able to share anywhere I want. Feature request : please allow me to add just one layer of audio on a memo. Just one! For less guitar or harmony ideas etc.

It’s so laggy it’s basically unusable on my 6s+. Just switched to the Spire recording app which lets you record multiple instruments and has a cleaner sound. Apple needs to update this.

Apple’s Forgotten App

Honestly, this is a great idea for an app, but Apple has forgotten it. Over a month after the iPhone X has come out and still no update for screen compatibility—Music Memos’ lack of attention is tarnishing the reputation of Apple. The amount of bugs is pretty surprising... and I can’t believe that Apple of all companies—who is supposed to be huge supporters of music and the arts—is not paying attention to this app.

Needs to be updated.

Current build will not load my stored music memos, and is not fully optimized for iOS 11 or iPhone X. Please update this, as I am a huge fan of the app.

Drums don't detect shuffle

I played something on the piano with a 6/8 shuffle beat and the drums when I press the button played it in straight time which didn't make sense. I did not see a way to change that. Also it would be nice if you could truncate the files. Perhaps there are all these controls that I just am not aware of or they are in-app purchases.

Update May 2016::: Still no Bluetooth!!! MUST. HAVE. BLUETOOTH!!! Bluetooth speakers are great for cordless playback from iPhones! It speeds up the creative process not having to deal with wires. This is a 5 star app when it gets Bluetooth support.
