After a recent update, this app’s live streaming feature rarely works—and when it does, it forces a cropped 16x9 aspect ratio with no option to disable it. Any hope for a fix?

Some big UX issues

The app works, but sometimes pressing the live button just leads to a blank screen with an eventual error that it failed to work. Another glaring issue is when watching this in horizontal mode, the video gets maxed out vertically. The left and right side are cut off. The video should be letterboxed to fit the aspect ratio and width of the screen, not be so zoomed that the sides and text are cut off. This is a pretty easy fix to the code. Also every 2 weeks im logged out of the cable provider sign in. When the error pops up saying that, it should be clickable to bring the user to the sign in page. Instead I have to close the app completely, open it again and sign in in settings before pressing “live”.

I love the reporting, but....

I love MSNBC and their reporters. As far as the app goes, it stops too often. Also, if I close the app to check a text, when I come back to the app, I can’t get it to play where I left off. Very frustrating!

Problem with landscape mode on iPad

This is a good app. Much better then xfinity stream with spotty WiFi. The app was recently updated to include all of the platforms. A bug was introduced and has yet been fixed. On my iPad only in live mode, the landscape view zooms to fill the screen. If I play a recorded video in landscape it does not zoom the video. If I turn my iPad to portrait mode, the full screen is there, on the top half. Please fix to earn 5 stars.

When viewing in landscape mode, the app fills the screen, cropping the widescreen content off the left and right sides. This is very frustrating. Conventionally video can be double tapped to toggle widescreen or full screen. This app should follow that convention.

No Need to Track my Location!

Live feed demands access to current location. NBCUniversal doesn’t need to track my location with that much granularity. Track my current IP address and be satisfied with that!

Worked great before update

Now it’s 50/50 chance it will play. Takes forever to load. I miss the version before the update. Works better for live tv on sling app.
