This app is the best password manager ever.

Thanks for Nothing

SuperTab Ando

So…. a while ago, my mSecure app was deleted accidentally from my iPhone while in my pocket. The backups that I had emailed to myself were not able to be used to restore. I was bummed. I had to reset all sort of passwords and painstakingly re-enter them. Now, I just got a new iPhone And I restored from the backup of my old iPhone. And mSecure is EMPTY. Thanks for failing so fantastically at what you’re supposed to be best at. Un-installed. Won’t-recommend. Very-disappointed. Good-Riddance.

Solid password manager

I use this across 4 devices - MBP, PC, iphone, ipad. For the most part it works seamlessly. The PC has trouble at times but the rest sync easily on the cloud. It's easy to use and I use it almost everyday. If you don't use a password manager, your passwords are probably too easy. One thing that annoys me about mSecure is that the upgrades are slow. It took a long time to get iphone touch ID integration and it seems like they are in no rush to get MBP touch ID integration. Passwords are probably the best use of touch authentication but doesn't seem like a priority. 1Password always seems to be ready to go at launch. Actually considered switching many times because of this.

Stay away from v5 update

Maui Kid

MSecure is getting ready to update their app to v5. Look at 1Password if you don't like what mSecure is changing. Read what they are offering before you pay $9.99 and update. They no longer will be offering iCloud or Dropbox backups or wifi syncs between your devices. Instead your backups will be stored on their servers. Poor business decision and you can read the complaints on their website in the support section. I purchased the upgrade, but now I'm requesting a refund. My data is to important to sit on a server that I don't trust,

Was working, now will not WiFi sync

skipoleski

Was working, now will no longer do WiFi sync. It recognizes the computer, but it thinks the application on the computer is not running, but the mSecure application actually is running. Few days ago had same problem. Few days ago the last thing I had tried was reboot of local router. (AT&T 5268AC) Today tried reboot of iMac, iPhone, then the AT&T router in that order, which I think was the order I did a few days ago. It still thinks application on computer is not running. But still did not sync, then I rebooted the iPhone several times and rebooted the router again before it finally was able to syncs. No, I'm not going to use other forms of sync since I don't trust putting anything out on the web, especially not my database of passwords. This really stinks that I have to keep rebooting multiple devices, multiple times every couple days!!!!!! App is useless if can't sync!!!!

Concerned

Been using for some time. Paid the "preorder" price for March release. Don't have it yet and Customer Service is not responding to simple questions on email. Not sure what is going on with them.

Great-used for at least 2 years

Help! I restored a backup for iPhone and recovered everything except msecure app. Emailed customer support yesterday and did not receive response I have used this app for 2 years at least. It is well organized and I have never had any problems. Periodically it asks if you want to back it up. If you can, do so, because if anything happens to your phone or the app (I once accidentally deleted it) you can only recover what is backed up. It is very easy to recover the data if needed. I use the app to save passwords, as well as info like insurance card id #...

This app has been great but is end of the line for me.

Bandguy2014

I have used mSecure for several years and on more than one platform. I have loved it. No real issues and I always have felt that I was more secure than having passwords written down somewhere. I love the auto password creator. I love that I can create an entry on my phone and later access it on my iPad or other OS devices without any problem. However, a new version is coming and, unfortunately, it appears that the new app will force syncing through the company's own cloud based service. I found this out by looking at promotional material about the new app and reading the company's Twitter account. This makes me nervous and sad. Perhaps this doesn't matter to everyone but it does to me. I just don't feel comfortable with trusting this apparently small company to have the same cloud security in place as a company like Dropbox. And how long until we see the subscription model-"Pay us $XX per year to access sync". I refuse. I write all of this to warn anyone contemplating purchasing this app that a new and, in my opinion, weakened app is about to be released so do your homework before you purchase to see if you want to enter this ecosystem. Unfortunately, I will need to start looking for a replacement soon as I will not be upgrading.
