l've used dozens upon dozens of MP3 players, but none as nice as this one. It's quick and easy to drag-and-drop MP3 files and folders. I use the player for audiobooks, but also for foreign language lessons. You can speed up or slow down the audio with no loss of sound quality. you can jump forward or back or pause the playback. I also have files of environmental sounds I play at night to help me fall asleep. I have extensive music files I like to listen to. It's easy to toggle back and forth between files. The player remembers your place so you don't have to. I use both the free version and the paid version. Since discovering these fine players, I've never had any need (or desire) to use any others. UPDATE... The 2019 update adds an equalizer, but seriously degrades the audio quality when you change the playback speed. I am just sick about this. The developers wrecked a really nice app.

Fine app but skips chapters

I have but one complaint so far and it’s a big one. This skips the book chapters. They are labeled in order. They show in order in the list but the next chapter is skipped and the following plays instead. Please fix. Other then that this is just what I need.

What happened how can you ruin such a simple thing.

I have been using this app for years and it was working fine. It was not fancy but worked and remembered where I left last. In last week or so every time I close the app next time book restarts, so I thought no biggie I can just bookmark before I turn the app off and even that won't work because bookmarks are not skipping to where I added them instead they show it processing and then nothing happens. I have to manually drag to last audio location. It is not hell adjacent for me. How to fix it?

This is an amazing app for audiobooks. It can be a little wonky for figuring out which tracks belong in which book sometimes. Most of the time it groups them perfectly, but sometimes it fails completely. I think this has more to do with the way the original tracks are named than with any actual problem with the app. However it would be great if there was a function to create a custom book within the app with those files. As far as I can tell I can only create a “group”, but maybe I just haven’t figured it out correctly yet. All in all it is a really great app and it always remembers my place in my books. I’m using it mostly on my iPhone 6 with iOS 12.4 (I keep it generally current) and I haven’t had any major problems with it. I also have it on my 2018 iPad Pro, but I only use it occasionally on that device.

Your new update says I can change the app to a different color ? Or look ? , if I have the pro, which I do. It’s set on default and won’t change , even when I click on it in the tools section. I’ve also noticed it CLOGS at times when I delete a book. I can’t tap on anything then to get it to work. I have to wait awhile and do something else, then it might fix itself after awhile. Other than that,it’s easy to use.

iOS 12.4.1 on iPhone X - After latest update mp3 book player has dis functional play head slider which doesn’t react anymore when moved back or forward manually. If developer keep ruining one thing while fixing the other , this app will receive less stars

App problems April 2015

Overall I really like this app. It’s easy to use and add/delete books. The one thing that drives me crazy though is when I am using this app in the car and I am getting driving directions from waze or Apple maps - I want the book to pause when my map app starts talking. The audible app is able to do this so I assume it is possible to do here too? I find that waze gives me directions and I miss 10-20 secs of the book and then have to keep going back. I drive in Boston a lot and there are a lot of turns so I basically cannot use the app when I’m in the city. Otherwise I’m very happy with this app!

Great for phone, not for Apple watch

This app works beautifully on my iPhone, that I will say. However, the description says it also works on the Apple watch, and it does, if you consider being able to start and stop the audio from the watch as counting. This only works when you are also in range of your phone. Audiobooks are not stored on the watch the way books are stored with the Audible app. One of the primary motivators for buying this app was so I could go for a walk or run without my phone, and I cannot do that with this app. Please update the app so it is useful in this way!
