Morningstar has a long way to go to add features available on its website!

Can’t put in share quantity

Jocko1970

It’s a list of my portfolio but I can find no way to put in the number of shares owned and hence track total value. Am I just being dense and must purchase the right to put the quantity into the spread sheet? I can do that on Excell. Let me know. Thanks

My go to web site

Love Morningstar. In depth analysis tools are awesome.

bad data and limited features

bswan2007

sometimes the dividend yield of the stock displayed through the mobile app is wrong by a wide margin. cant do many things on mobile app such as review financials of a stock, performance of a fund etc... To summarize, its a very limited mobile app. data integrity is poor and rich featureset ( as mentioned above) missing.

Deletes portfolio and crashes

Horrible app. Just began using it. Spent a bit of time inputting various funds and was using it. A few moments later the app crashed, signed me out, and deleted all the work I did. Please fix or it is a waste of time and effort.

Love Morningstar But This App Is Severely Limited...

CSS3733

Really does MS an injustice as they’re the most Robust and Informative trading platform, yet this app struggles to get by. Tons of holes in coverage, just today, zero analysis on BA and GD. Are you kidding!? Invest in the app platform guys otherwise someone else will.

Lacks critical data

joshumille_2

A lot of other similar platforms offer a friendlier user interface and provide critical statistics like 52-week moving average and beta/alpha. Also the “Gold level” insight is not worth 5 dollars. Let alone a penny. Very disappointed.

A handy app for those following mutual funds

A Fan in DC/NoVa

It gives a snapshot of current financial market performance and, for subscribers, a concise summary of the performance & contents of an entered investment portfolio. Excellent assessments of most of the largest mutual funds. I haven’t managed to figure out how to persuade it to give me a pie chart showing my asset allocation across broad asset classes. Sad.
