A catastrophe.

I used to be addicted to this game, but as it progresses it’s flaws become apparent and hard to even comprehend. List of flaws: -Pay to win system is broken, even for a pay to win system. To give an idea, $80 real money will get you 2.7k gold bars. To speed finish a 48 hour build can cost hundreds of gold bars, meaning ONE building upgrade costs $15-$20. -Progression is ludicrous. When I started 6 years ago, high power event units has millions of attack points. Just logged in.... the top individual unit I saw had 7 billion and was a single infantryman. My top was a 300 million power battle ship. -Power system is lazy and yet difficult to judge. They summarize almost no numbers into “8.7k” or “22.52 billion”, so looking at another power rating for an enemy looks like “22523690115”. No punctuation. Have fun counting the numbers. -Server connection is non-existant. Loading an individual fight can take 10 seconds or just never load. 10 might not sound bad, but this is not a fight where you go somewhere, have animations, or make attack style or strategic decisions... you click “fight”, a vs. box pops up, you wait and see if it even finishes connecting, and you are given a win or lose outcome. -No problems are ever fixed. This developer is 10 miles outside of their mind. They ask you to spend literally hundreds of dollars in order to simply keep up with the evolution of the game, and in return you get absolutely nothing. This is the absolute pinnacle of an example of how to make a pay to play game up.

Was one of the very first players to log into this game and was leader of the very first faction formed. Originally you had to spend money to compete in war with your faction. Now, you have to spend A LOT of money just to compete at all with your base stats - attack and defense. The game has added different events that eliminates the need to spend a lot of money, if at all. But spending helps and spend you must to stay competitive in some events. The big issue at moment - is the lag time. Logging in and switching from different accounts is so time consuming we are losing players. The lag time must get fixed.
Modern war is a fun game. Don’t know how you get upgrades to some things like reduced

This game is not for "free play", what you purchase is not what's been delivered, and the company (Gree) does not answer the complaints. Apple and Google are inundated with complaints and refunds. Most players held a boycott last week and did not play. Wonder how long this game will last. Read the blogs and Stay away!

This game is not maintained with any integrity and Apple should seriously consider discontinuing it’s license with such a worthless app.
