Updates?

It's a step in the right direction, but I'm still waiting for a software update. It has been over a year and there haven't been any updates. An improved version for iOS 10 would be nice, as would compatibility with Apple Watch. April 2017: Still no updates, improvements, or response from Medtronic to let us know what's going on. I expect SO much better from Medtronic! I am decreasing my rating to 1 star now for the lack of follow-through and because the app now opens with an error stating it isn't made for (or stable) on the most recent iOS release. Very disappointing.

Not great

DharmaScientist

Feels like a step backwards in a lot of ways. Dexcom looked outdated to me and limited but at least I have alarms and can input some things like carbs and insulin. I feel like this is just a pretty screen, but your pump is right there with the same information and you have to use it in most cases anyways. Carrying an extra tiny piece of plastic around is pretty annoying too. Btw, it's been about a year since they've updated this software according to the upgrade history. UPDATE: Forced to use this sensor again because of an issue ordering dexcom. I can't stand this thing. My dex would sync with the health app and then to onedrop allowing me to see my weekly average on the phone and Apple Watch. All that is gone now that I'm back with this inferior device. So upset at Medtronic. I wish I could stop using them entirely.

Needs updating

This had a good start but there have been no updates. The app no longer reads my uploader. This has turned into a waste of money.

Poor execution

The app effectively shows the CGM trend line. That's nice. It doesn't show any of the other info that the Pump has on it, and which the Connect device is transmitting. This app would be extremely useful if it also showed this information (blood sugars, insulin on-board, boils history, basal rate, etc). Medtronic has had nearly two years to add that support. The fact that they haven't updated the app once in that time is supremely disappointing.

"app" is junk- wrapper over their website!!

Traderhut.com

The app says it hasn't been tested to work since iOS 6.0. No, that is NOT a typo! Doesn't really matter anyway - it isn't an app at all. It just runs Safari in a window, interferes somehow with it filling in your password automatically, and then brings up the website. Just open the carelink website in the browser - it will save and restore your password and let you login faster. The alerts (texts) come from their website anyway - not the app. They need to actually write an app. I am an app developer so I Understand this stuff. So poorly written, the thing on the phone that uploads the info to the web is useful (which is where the connect has value - not this cr - app) - it will allow other users of the website to get texts when high or low. When that part is working it is good. Now, the other issue is their CGMS that they say is more accurate than the meter tests - but it uses them to calibrate so it can NOT be. At best, it is +/- some % from the meter reading. And that has been about 100. So, it warns you that you are low when it says you are at 50, but you are really st 150 when you test. (Or wakes you up at 4 am!) It is better than nothing. Mostly, on the high side. It will tell you that you hit 300, when you are really at 200 - which is still high. It loses its calibration all the time, and some brilliant engineer coded it to stop talking to a sensor once it fails to calibrate twice. And how can it fail???? You told it the number, so it should be able to figure it out, or ask you for another reading in 15 minutes until it has the data to calibrate correctly. Bad programmers all around on this. Like they outsourced to India or China or something. I don't trust the numbers, they tell you not to trust them as well... System has value, this app doesn't

Needs an update still.

Wolf6292

Wow still waiting. For an update. Unable to connect on new Iphone7 with ios10. Problem is this app is not up to date. Please update. Now it's 03/2017 and still no update and still can't use it. Not able to link to phone. This app is about to be no longer useable in the next major update. And looks like they are not going to do anything to bring this up to date.

Want this for my son MM630G

$99 Hardware, no software support

This app is still certified for iOS 8 and 9 only. Apple is now on iOS 11. If there ever was a commentary on how little Medtronic "gets it" in the world of technology their patients want, this is it.
