Helps so much with organizing

Starting a new business with numerous projects, legal and financial matters to attend to, I cant simply use docs. mindnode helps make a visual diagram which has also impressed people I’m working with. And I’m so happy this program is able to be multi-tasked on my iPad. The ability to use 2 apps at the same time is just amazing. This is my most used app currently.

Five Star App

Taurus123

This is a phenomenal app. To tell you the truth I didn’t use the previous version all that much. There was something missing, it didn’t feel intuitive enough. But the new version is spectacular! I have been using it a lot and more importantly I’m enjoying using it a lot. Love the files app integration, love the ability to customize themes. I adore the quick entry mode. You can’t go wrong with this app.

Good but could be great

So So Done!

This is a good app but I wish it exported to PowerPoint or had presentation feature.

Outline mode A+

sidefx10

Having an outline mode puts the other mind map apps behind. One thing though, what happened to the map layout designs from MindNode 4? I could have nodes only to the right or only to the left, now I could only put top and bottom.

Already paid for this

Electronicchild

I have been a mindnode user, and I will start by saying I love the app. I am disappointed that we are forced to buy a new version of what we already have. This isn’t a significant upgrade, based on my usage, and the app was one of the more expensive apps I own to begin with, so to pay for it all over again is a strong put off. If you are a first time MindNode user, you will likely love this app as I did, and drop a 5 star rating, until you find that the next version requires you to pay an additional $10 to upgrade. Guys, I know you’re indie devs and you need to make money, but support one app. I have been an app loyalist for many productivity apps, and I teach productivity workshops, so I know the value of your product. This isn’t the best approach to funding future improvements.

After buying the previous expensive app, having the pay again feels like a punch in the stomach

I need a long vacation

The app is fine, but not fine enough that I should have to pay such a premium to upgrade on both the macOS and iOS platforms. Yes, I do get a little discount on the upgrade because I paid the previous premiums, but the discounts represent small percentages. I do find the apps useful, but not indispensable. With this pattern of upgrades and billing, I will take my business elsewhere, as I’m otherwise certain that this company will continue to try to bleed me for years to come if I let them. In response to the developer response: the cost after those upgrade discounts is still higher than virtually any app in the app store. Bleeding your loyal base is not the answer! It works great for a while, your staff grows, then as your previously loyal customers bail and bad reviews catch up with you, your business finances crumble.

Update: impasse

Urbanwild

Just dropped 15 bucks for the iOS version of this, and gleefully did six hours of work mapping a vision. iCloud was selected for upload. Once done, I closed the project, and when I tried to re-open, it said “your device could connect to the server. There may be a problem with the server or network.“ At this moment, I can find no way to open my project – back door, front door, through the window... no workarounds. Operating system up-to-date. Have a line in to support, with no answer. Real lousy first impression. UPDATE: I truly believe that this vendor is in no way deliberately unethical. They just were not able to solve my problem. My iCloud works fine – functions with other apps and resources, plenty of headroom. But the set up for this app just hits the floor the moment I try to activate it. There is an incompatibility issue and they have no work around; you know how it is – just polite diplomacy. Since I’ve NOT been offered a refund, my review must stay the same.

It’s not free

Cryptohaze

The misleading part that it’s a free app although you can’t use it at all without purchasing the in-app purchases. It would probably increase the low ratings. Looks nice but 9 dollars for this is pretty exaggerated. One dollar seems not only reasonable but profitable to you guys regarding your initial investment in the first place.

Best mind mapping app!

Best one I’ve tried out. Just needs some bug fixes.

Good app, some bugs in version 5

Appman5605

Been using MindNode 4 and went on the two week trial for MindNode 5 a week go. Overall it is a small improvement over MindNode 4 but it comes at a steep upgrade cost. Pro users May want to upgrade, casual users will be fine with MindNode 4. There is a significant glitch when trying to copy text into the notes section from another app, needs to fixed it is a frustrating issue. Synching via iCloud is quick when it works, from time to time it does not instantly sync and it leads to conflicting versions when switching between macOS and iOS versions, needs to be fixed asap. Not sure if I should upgrade or try a different app first. I use the iOS 11 and the 9.7 iPad Pro. Which version will the developers support and improve on a long term basis? Both?
