This is a very helpful app to learn coding.

Grammar errors, nothing really free

Battlewithin

Sure, the basic introduction is free, but not even close to enough progress is made to tell what kind of information is covered in later lessons or how well it's taught. Also, in just the JS intro, there were at least two grammatical errors that made it a guessing game. I'm definitely not paying for something that has these kinds of mistakes. Programming often requires unambiguous explanations and questions. So with just the JS intro, they fail the test. Not to mention, they don't explain their scoring system. I got everything right in the JS quizzes, but scored a 4/5 on it, according to the end of the chapter, but 5/5(?) according to the syllabus screen. Guys. Hire an English major and someone that's OCD/perfectionist. You need help. And then there's the pricing. I can buy a decent book for $50. And said book will have gone through many more hours of checking and rechecking for mistakes in both grammar and code. The information contained in this app is also available for free on the Internet. An app brings convenience, so people are often willing to pay, but this pricing structure does not fit that convenience factor. Instead, it's a burden. Hopefully, you listen to other low-star feedback and get your heads out of the dirt. We know you want to make money and be paid for you work, but you also need to be reasonable. Apps have the potential to reach a lot more people, but you pricing is going to put the off. So have fun not making money; you're sure not getting mine!

Great app, great support

Agent.y3s

Installed because I haven't coded in many years and am looking to get reacquainted with my old friend, this app fits the bill perfectly. Content is effective and presented in a fun and entertaining way, and has greatly helped with recalling syntax (and even learning some new languages). No, $50 ain't cheap, but you'll spend $100 on a used C# book, this will teach you 7-8 with the promise of upcoming content. As to the 'unproven developer' bit, I had an issue with payment and an executive from the team reached out personally to help, over the course of a few emails I'm convinced they are the real deal and look forward to further features (RPi please!).

I would recommend this for anyone interested learning programming!

Great app but too expensive

Legal.Eagle

I would be willing to pay a one time fee, but am not willing to sign up for a recurring monthly or yearly fee.

Like a mobile Codecademy

BrandMan9

This is a fantastic app that was very well developed. I'll use it a little more before I consider purchasing. Like another reviewer said, it would be great if they had different purchasing options if I wanted to, say, buy only 2 or 3 courses. But they've likely made a big investment in developing this app, and I'd still be happy to pay that $50/year!

Great App

Phatman2pointO

Mimo is a great app (as seen in the title). I got an email for a monthly option so I decided to give it a try! The lessons have been very informational and easy to understand, the layout and colors are appealing to the eyes, and they even have a lesson on C++! My only concern is that some of the lessons ask you to open a text editor and write your own program. When I first started programming I had no idea what that was and where to start. I propose that in the beginning lesson "Programming" that the developers include a step by step on how to start with a text editor and how to run programs in terminal. You could also include a "mini-console" in the lesson that allows you to write out the code if you wish (maybe for extra points or unlocks, kind of like Duolingo). Thanks so much for providing an aesthetically pleasing and informational

The best app EVER. Learn to code easy

ashdhfrurysugjt

This app is the best at what it does. It ha multiple courses on multiple languages, it works like a Chat while you learn coding. It includes everything you need. The only thing to improve is that support MUST reply to contact emails! Its been weeks and they haven't answered me.
