Be careful with this application. The premise seemed promising but I made the mistake of testing this without backing up anything. It froze up and my entire camera roll is “greyed out”. The app has been in spinning-loading mode for hours. The app has effectively destroyed all of the photos I’ve fed into it.

The only thing, literally the ONLY THING you would want this app for requires you pay. Not a huge deal, in the grand scheme of things. It's just dirty to hide the fact that although it's a "free app", it doesn't do the one thing you would want it to do (strip exif) without a purchase. Dirty pool

Intuitive and elegant. Even better ifs: - Set location to that of another photo without having to drop a pin. - 3D Touch photo preview when selecting photos.

I tried this app since it said it was free with in-app purchases. While that is technically true, the app is useless until you pay for all the features. Wish they would have saved me time by just requiring the app to be purchased right from the AppStore. I don’t trust developers that try to deceive, especially for an app that is supposed to help me protect my privacy!

It’s no longer showing up in photos extensions on my iPad mini 4 with iOS 11.4 Emailed support but no response.

What fields can be edited?

I would upgrade to pro if I knew for sure I could edit copyright, artist, name of file, software used and probably some others. A list of all editable fields would be very nice. Free version doesn’t do much besides remove metadata which is not my goal but probably is for others.

8/25/17 Update: Video support! Hooray! I requested video support in December 2014. I was shocked when the developer replied to my original email stating it had been implemented. I don't care that it took a while. I was very impressed and pleased to receive an email almost three years later. Metapho is great at viewing and editing exif data. Being able to adjust the time stamp and locations of photos is great. This is especially useful for photos taken on a normal camera where the location data is not captured.

Beware: you CANNOT edit anything except for date & location

It’s a great app, excellent for privacy focused people/ readying scanned photos etc. However it is NOT able to edit any other metadata, just date & location. So you CANNOT use this to add keywords or batch edit description for photos.
