Very disappointed with this whole new set of updated. I know you want it business and all but the whole reason I used messenger was the simplistically of it. Being able to see if the messes he was read or not without clicking on the convo. Being able to see if the person is on the chat. Sending photos from my gallery is a whole new story. Messenger you really messed up with these. Make it go back to the old ways this new ones make the app less easy to use!!!

I can’t find the part where they used to put the stickers I use regularly any more and it’s frustrating every times I have to scroll through all the stickers to pick what I really want. Also, they don’t allow to open word file in the newest update. Well then at least they should have let us download it?
Please bring back the old messenger!!

The new update is horrible not to mention the quality of the videos are way too low and everything is so much harder to use! Messenger used to be one of my favorite apps because i could easily talk to my friends and family members but now its just annoying to even use this app!!
Go back to the old versions

I hate it! I can no longer see when some of my friends last long in! Or were active! I can no longer see when they have received my message or read it i have to go and open the conversation i used to love seeing the blue circle get dark meaning they received and clear when they had read it!! I wish i can go back to the older version please fix this problems its really frustrating!!!! ???

Since the update I am seeing the red message notification and there is no new message. Also still getting notifications for messages that are “muted” now. Also, where did “message requests” go?

Apparently making things “smaller and faster” means getting rid of everything that makes the app easy and fun to use. They got rid of the ability to press and hold to send a big emoji, which seems like a pointless thing to get rid of, when so many people loved that feature. On the operational side of things, they have removed anything that makes you able to message anyone without a Facebook account. One of the appeals of the app was that you didn’t have to have an account to use it, but they seem to have decided to screw over anyone without an account.

I thought it was a fluke when the layout of my app got switched over and I’ve been uninstalling and reinstalling the app to get it back the way it used to be. I understand why the change was made to the gif tab but I hate it. I can’t see if someone is typing while I’m looking for gifs and I don’t get a one line preview of the most recently sent message if I’m scrolled up through the thread or if the stupid full page gif tab is open. I used to be able to tap on it and jump to the newest message while reviewing old texts or read the new message as I’m still scrolling through the gifs. Like a lot of other reviewers I really miss the controls I had over my emojis. One other feature I was a fan of, was coping messages over to another doc for when I was hashing out stories or character stats for games I was running. The flow with the new layout has become unnecessarily cumbersome. Might be time to move to google docs for these interactions. Messenger used to be a good middle ground to combine all my different types of conversations in one place. I guess I’ll have to go back to a combo of iMessenger, discord, and google docs depending on my needs. Facebook Messenger doesn’t really have anything special for me anymore.

For the last 2 updates I haven’t been able to send videos because they’d take up to 10+ hours just to send. Sense the latest update it won’t even let me send pictures. Idk if anyone else has that issue but is it a bug or something??
Where are the stickers?

Why have you taken this away? You are ruining all that was Messenger. Not fun anymore.
