Unnecessary app that bugs me about notifications every time I open it

It would be one thing if the app was optional for viewing messages, but the fact that I'm now forced to download an app just to open messages is so asinine that I felt compelled to give this abomination of an app one star. Furthermore, EVERY time I open the app, even when it’s already running, it bugs me to enable notifications. Why is “no” not an acceptable answer? How many times do I need to say this before the app takes me seriously? It’s installed temporarily due to a friend’s phone malfunctioning but I can’t wait to be rid of it again.

Rightfully Annoying!

Stop the ever present nagging about allowing notifications. If a user declines, then the app should respect that. Frustratingly bad UX decision.

Hate it!

Can not stand all the chain messages and buggy links. So ridiculous. Now all the marketing and emails showing in contacts. Spent hours going through and deleting them. Don’t do business with them and don’t need them appearing-especially when I’ve no allowed access to contacts through Facebook, messenger, or email apps to have access. What a nosey world we live in. Also, when I set messenger to inactive why to you have to alert everyone that I still am and what time? You have secret messages why not secret activity?

Phone call problems

Messenger drops calls whenever u talk to ur boyfriend/girlfriend so be warned their probably hearing our phone calls #RelationshipGang

Facebook really messed up with Messenger
Morgan Jo

I HATE that I can’t use Facebook messaging without the messenger app. It is cluttered, annoying and a complete waste of space on my phone to have an additional useless app. This app is like an annoying 2 year old asking ‘are we there yet?’ when it asks ‘do you want notifications?’. It shows notifications to make you turn on notifications. I literally download it to look at a message and then uninstall after I’ve replied. Makes me like Facebook even less.

Brand new iPhone 8 Plus

Only this app keeps crashing no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall. POS FB App. Oh and it did the same on my iPhone 6S Plus
