First this is my first review I have ever done on any application in the last nine years of owning an Apple product. But I do believe consumers need to know a real review of this application. To start off I have 3 issues with Mercedes and this application. The first that should be known is before this latest update that was released a few days ago of this update Mercedes had a one star rating and several more One star reviews than the app shows now. So clearly they somehow reset their one star rating and deleted all of the previous negative 1 star reviews of their app. Because they suddenly have a 4 star rating overnight and all previous reviews are no longer available. That’s a shady practice and not the true representation of their app and it’s horrible shortcomings. Shame on you Mercedes. Now an unbiased review of this app. Do not pay for this service. You will be disappointed greatly. The app is extremely buggy. Rarely works. Remote start feature fails 9 out of 10 times. The app kicks you out 9 out of 10 times, forcing you to completely accept terms and conditions all over again. Sign back in completely, reset a pin for the app to fail again and kick you out time and time again. If a miracle happens and the car actually starts, it takes close to a minute to actually start. For the money the product disappoints. Again, shame on you Mercedes for taking your consumers hard earned money and knowingly providing them a failing product. A product you know doesn’t stand up to Mercedes standards. 3rd I have contacted Mercedes customer support about these numerous issues with the application. Several times in fact. I have never received a callback. And email back. Or any correspondence from Mercedes. They clearly do not care about their consumer and they clearly know that this is a failing product that they have no answers for the consumer.

How does a luxury car company not has an app that is seamless and works? Why do I have remote start or anything else if it never works. This is unacceptable.

I recently got a 2016 c300 sport. I mainly use the app for remote start, and send to Benz where I can type a Nav address in my phone and have it sent to the car. The features work.. however they can sometimes lag a minute or two. Adding a widgets option for the above features would really improve the app


DANGEROUS!!! LOCKS YOU OUT!

I have a 2019 GLS 450. It’s very hot where I live, so I often lock my car running with the A/C on for my dog. My car will not lock with the fob if the engine is on, so I HAVE to use the app to lock it. And it won’t unlock with the fob if locked with the app. And the app CONSISTENTLY FAILS TO UNLOCK THE CAR. Fix this, Mercedes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not what anyone expects from you.

I can’t think of anything on which I’ve spent this much money, that is so poorly developed. This app never once worked properly. Less than half the time it works with several tries. Mercedes should not advertise remote start. They should say rarely remote start. All the other functions are unreliable as well. I like the car but the app is very unreliable.

Just purchased a new Mercedes. Love my car but the app 70% of the time doesn’t work. Currently cannot open the app to unlock my car to go to work. Very disappointed the auto start feature is one of the 5 reasons I purchased this car

If I had known this $100,000 car had this terrible of an app to start this expensive car I would have bought a Chevy! It has never worked for me no matter if I’m at home or standing at the Mercedes dealership! I paid extra for remote start not knowing it was an app! Never again will I purchase a Mercedes it’s a rip off for something that’s relatively cheap for a product that is easy to install at the factory which is where I ordered this from!

Logs you out every couple of days. Login using requires killing and restarting the app a couple of times. It’s extremely slow and is unable to remote start the car 8 out of 10 times. They have a long way to go before they can get anywhere close to the Tesla app. I’m so glad I didn’t sign up for the concierge service!
