10 second delay

That’s how bad the delay is. How useful is that? Can’t even turn off the display nor turn off recording. Manything goes on the list of useless many things.

The BEST. I’ve tried all the others.

Update October 2019. I’ve tried some alternatives including BLINK (Amazon), NEST(Google) and three different Chinese wireless PTZ IP cameras. I still like Manything the best, especially using their recommended Hikvision cams. More stable. Fewer false alarms. More reliable notification. Finer resolution in the motion alarm trigger zones. Overall just better. My iPhone 4 Manything cams are dirt cheap and do work, but do try the Hikvision cams. Flawless. Up for months and months with no glitches or false motion alarms. I love Manything. Update Feb 2019. This app just keeps getting better and better. I installed a Manything iPhone 4 cam on my old fishing boat. It runs on TMobile unlimited data. It looks at the bilge pump. I get a sound triggered alert when it turns on along with a video ciip showing the water level. Super reliable. Also installed a cam looking at a roof gutter so I can see when it needs cleaning or jams up with debris. I LOVE Manything. It works way better than other competing apps and I’ve tried most of them. Smart developers. They are always improving things. I have been a Manything user for several years now. I have watched the app evolve, getting better and better with each revision. The app team is SMART and also very responsive. If there is a problem they get right on it and fix it. It’s no easy chore keeping the app compatible with many different old iPhones. Lazy companies would obsolete old phones like iPhone 4 but Manything continues to support these old iPhones which makes setting up a camera network very inexpensive. Old iPhone 4s with clean ESNs go for $25 all the time on eBay. The features on the app are just incredible. You can use your touchscreen to mark certain zones in the field of view that won’t trigger motion alerts. You can get text and email alerts. Every feature works and works really well. I’ve tried other competing security camera apps and they just fall short. Manything now supports Hikvision cameras and I’ve installed several. They work flawlessly. I’m a huge Manything fan because they deliver and they care deeply about resolving problems as fast as possible. The result is a great product that just keeps getting better. It is just amazing to get motion triggered alerts and video clips sent to phone showing a package left on my porch while I was on a cruise in Alaska, also while walking on a beach in Bali. Truly amazing.

Very bad support. Get a real camera.

Hello all, I’ve been a paying customer of manything for years now. Sometimes I don’t have any cameras setup but I keep paying the subscription so that a company that I like survives. I’ve left my home unattended and my camera went offline but I did not receive any push notification on my phone. That’s fine because I got an email. However, I tried to look at the cloud recorded videos but couldn’t see anything that my camera saw before it went offline. I’ve emailed support yesterday but they haven’t responded. Now I’m left with no information about whats going on at home while I’m traveling abroad. I will never use manything again and take back all the recommendations I made to my friends. I hope you guys struggle real hard as I’m struggling right now.

Love the stills mode

This app has been great for me for what seems like years. I use mostly the stills mode.

Decent but better options exist
Pleblo1638

There are A TON of options for cloud security cameras these days. I do like the ease of using an extra iphone for this, but the problem is You must be logged into icloud as a result and so my phone constantly has issue where it wants to update or notify some system thing which causes problems for the camera recording consistently. i have to routinely check the display and close all the modal alerts out or the phone overheats with the display on full bright which it automatically does. I know the app doesn’t really have any say in this, but it’s a downside of using only an Idevice

Glitch city
Oh Noooo!!!

Many many interruptions will turn the app off. Too bad. This app is so close to being the best for what it is. BUT as it is, you must be close to the camera so you can reset it and start it up again. That’s hard to do while you’re at work or across the country on vacation. I’ve noticed that there are even more interruptions that stall the app when you are paying for the subscription.

Doesn’t work right
scole0808

I tried using this app for a couple months and canceled it. It sometimes would work and other times stop recording. I canceled my subscription but they are still trying to take my money. I canceled my card to stop them.

Good
abbsidb

I love this app it works perfectly fine

Not good anymore.

I had enjoyed this for a while but now you can’t even replay the last video. You have to subscribe to view the last video it recorded. The subscription for this a month is steep. You should only pay one price and that’s it, not pay a monthly subscription. It’s a rip-off.
