Bad business

ATTENTION DEV TEAM!

I'm actively downloading other apps because of the change in your pricing policy. The fact that your market this as a security device but then cripple it in an update not letting people know that they're putting their homes at risk is far more than greedy, it's irresponsible.

Meh-ny-thing

Beldar88

Works when it works. Viewing phone goes offline sometimes and that's it. Seems it can't reconnect even if the wifi signal comes back (iPhone 5--connected to power and a strong wifi signal). I'll pay the premium for the auto-record (which worked fine during trial when phone was connected) when I can have a reliable system.

Offline

Loses connection constantly, won't reconnect with wi fi. Useless as a security camera.

Love this app!

No pain no gain 1899

Downloaded Manything with low expectations as a free app and I have been blown away with the ease or use and capabilities. Set up was a breeze and it does everything I was looking for and more! I don't write reviews often, but I have been recommending it to all of my friends ever since I started using it and even took the time to write a review on here. 10/10 for sure

Love this app!

We were able to keep an eye on our home & dogs while we went on vacation. It worked an entire week & didn't ever mess up. Highly recommend!!

Scam!

Paid for 2 day 1 camera and it took my remote camera offline. From my phone within the app it doesn't work at all now, still works live from their website with my laptop but says I need to upgrade if I try to review anything, even though they already took my money. Subscription says I paid, it just doesn't work. Contacted support and received only a form letter telling me to read their very unhelpful FAQ.

The best. Tried all the others.

Manything, properly set up, is astoundingly good. First, don't use cheap AC adapters to power your iPhones used as Manything cams. Genuine Apple or highly rated third party adapters on Amazon work. I tried dirt cheap ones and they all had problems keeping a Manything purposed iPhone running even though they worked for normal phone charging. The other requirement is solid stable strong wifi. If wifi is marginal you won't get a reliable Manything experience. The features are so so useful. You can select segments of a viewed field to exclude from motion triggering. You can listen (and now TALK) to a remote cam and the audio is very good. Can record a motion triggered audio message that your remote camera plays such as "motion detected, police notified". Motion triggered text and email alerts are quite reliable. Zero false alarms if set up properly. When combined with IFTT app the utility expands much further. My interior cameras go on standby when I come home. IFTT looks at my personal phone GPS and senses when I am home. It then sends standby commands to my interior cams but keeps outside ones on. I've tried almost every competitors products and Manything is superior. They have GENIUS LEVEL app developers and a reliable Amazon cloud video storage setup. MANYTHING ROCKS. BEST IN CLASS. Addendum: the reviewer who experienced iPhone 5 battery failure had a defective battery or charger. I run a dozen iPhone 5s on Manything full time with zero battery problems. I tried really cheap chargers despite Manything's contrary advice and that was a mistake. Didn't ruin batteries but caused them to run down even hooked up to charger due to high current demand. I've tried many other video monitoring apps and Manything is by far the best. One vulnerability that isn't Manything's fault is that iPhones placed in sunlit windows will often overheat and shut down. That's on Apple not Manything. Ive tried various sunshields to no avail. What finally worked was a janky solar powered mini fan bought on Amazon.

Updated my app to Not Stream

Rocketman_FL

After latest update I can no longer just view camera live stream, developer made changes to app so you have to buy it or use the motion detect option to be able to view a stream when alerted.. all good things must come to an end... time for another free app like Presence

Ya!

It's great!

Don't know what the fuss is about!

I think Manything is a great app. People moaning about this and that not being free probably don't work for nothing themselves. To get you hooked onto the app, of course there's a free version, but the cost of the subscription isn't bad for peace of mind. The team sent me an email this year suggesting buying $30 fire tablets as cameras - great idea. They're proactive and responsive. They've also talked about camera enclosures etc. so they're clearly thinking ahead. It works great imo - even recorded the missus reversing the car into the telegraph pole - which was great fun to playback in the pub. You get what you pay for
