Good App - Gathers News From All Over!

dbernelle

I don’t understand why all the bad reviews.... I LIKE THIS APP! I have used it for a few years & like the way it gathers Mac OS news, iOS news, Apple Corp., new apps, hardware, software, patents, etc. from all over the web. You can glance at this and see the headlines and then go to a short summary of the news or the original article. You can really keep up with Apple and all related news at one easy to get to location. The app usually works flawlessly and that’s all you really want from an app, consistent performance! Sure there’s advertisement, but they’re trying to eat too, right? So like I said, it’s well worth it to me! Try it!

Deleted It

ezzyme

After many years there greed for add revenue is just out of control. When adds pop up over content and won’t let you close them it’s time to delete the app.

Mac site not updating iPhone X app.... irony at its finest

Houligan91

This app/news site is all about iPhone and macs and still hasn’t updated for iPhone X resolution. To be supposedly on the fore front of Mac news and not spending 2 hours to update their app is ridiculous. It’s the reason I don’t read they’re articles anymore.

Real dislike app takeover by bogus prize winning hack.

JCIGIF

These prize winning”hacks” are so aggregating that I am going to delete app. I liked the reports but no longer support app with these “ads”.

Not updated for iPhone X screen

Jlwhitten

I have been pleasantly surprised with how many of my apps are already optimized to the new iPhone X screen (including notch), even several small market apps. So I’m a little surprised that this app is not yet optimized to iPhone X. In fact, given the focus on all-things Apple, it should be a little embarrassing. Ads are annoying. I understand why they are needed, but it is annoyingly easy to click on ads I do not want to view. I agree with more detailed reviews on this front. But one thing is especially maddening — the ads that interrupt reading to suggest you just won an iPhone or iPad or some prize that is totally deceptive - with absolutely no apparent way to NOT be forced to jump to that stupid prize page rather than get back to reading your the MDN article. This should be the definition of click-bait. It cheapens the MDN app. UPDATE - after reading many other reviews, it is clear that this app has neglected or ignored its users for many years. An iOS app about Apple news with a new 1.3 average rating? Are you serious? And an email message to the developer was answered with a sorry excuse that the “take-over” ads were not their fault and impossible to control. Bye MDN. App deleted and replaced by two other Apple news aggregators I found in the App Store. I’ll choose between them after a test period.

Ads are out of control! Now there’s spam ads!

tvopdx

Had to delete it. It was ok when there were just lots of ads. But now the ads self launch and self launch into the App Store etc. It just became too obnoxious.

How can a Pro Apple app be so poor !!!

Dr.Alban

This must be the worst and cheapest app developer ever, or actually the laziest. Can’t believe they don’t support iPhone X screen yet !!! And they are all about Apple! I don’t have the ads problem of ads taking over. But the iPad version stops updating every while to the extent that I have to remove and re install. The content however is great and a must have app, only for the info it provides. And I love the MacDailyNews take commentary.

Finally X Support

Impaler80s

Finally, they updated this for iPhone X. Otherwise a very clunky app. A bit smoother in this version. Content is great, just ugly presentation.
