Customer service nightmare

I used lyft for years.Drivers are great. Sadly one negative customer service experience overshadowed it all. I have never been so poorly treated or ignored by a customer service team. The first issue is that they communicate through email only. What could have been solved in 10 minutes over the phone instead led to email threads where I was either ignored, condescended to, and told opposing information depending on which email respondent I received replies from. Have never had a company leave such a bad taste. A shame, as they have great potential. Unrelated, but their gps algorithm for shared rides will take you to the opposite side of town (in NY at least) before finally taking you to your destination. Was willing to overlook this for a long time Bc of positive driver experiences, but this fact only bolstered my decision to delete the app when the lyft customer service team failed to find solutions for a negative experience I had.

It would be so awesome if I could request a female driver. Make drivers make me paranoid, as I’m a small girl. I know not all men will do something but I’d feel better and much more inclined to use this is I could request a female driver. Other than that this app is incredible and affordable and has never let me down

If you are in a very congested area the driver will quickly leave with a no show charge to your account. Grab a taxi instead.

Stop allowing your drivers to say they completed a ride and they never attempted to pick up the passenger!
