Wow that was easy! Used LUGG at suggestion if Tatiana at Wood Knot in Concord to deliver a beautifully restored Federalist Sideboard to my upstairs apartment in hilly windy Montclair. Drivers kept in touch and poof - they were here in time and on their way in under 15 mins. Will definitely use again!
Vintage Metal Tank Desk

They moved this HEAVY metal tank desk down a narrow flight of stairs. But first we realized a bookcase also had to move, to get the desk to turn the corner. And they moved the bookcase back. I can’t thank them enough for their help!

I used this app for the first time today. Moving is already a crappy experience but this app really made things go smoother. I booked the time slot two days before my move. You have no clue what type of mover you will get which is no different than any other on-demand app service but if you get a quality mover this seems to be a very necessary app. I literally didn't have to talk to anybody and the move went about as smooth as a move could possibly go. It is worth at least one try.
Great concept but hidden charges

I booked Lugg to move some houseplants to a friends place while I was in between homes. The app gave me an estimate of $160. Actual amount billed: $256. That’s WAY off the estimate and I was very specific with the items to be moved and distance. Won’t use this app again.
