Simply Amazing!

Loseyourlife

This is an amazing tool to bring your language acquisition to another level! Having used all the tools out there, this one is the best for serious students of a foreign language.

Confusing

No instructions on how to use it

Functionality

Probably the best language learning software out there, but unfortunately, the free version is more like a trial than a limited version. Modeling the changes of the jump from free to premium more like Duolingo, where you can do a few extra lessons, do extra tests, remove ads, etc, would make this program far and above the greatest program out there for language acquisition, if it isn't already.

:-(

The voice is crappy and the app is difficult to cancel

Serious tool for serious learners

I love Lingq. It does take a little but of time to orient yourself but finding interesting content in your chosen language is so important and Lingq is the ideal tool to read and listen to it. ?

Powerful but...

I wish there was a way to incorporate images to the lingq flashcards to make them memorable. I do that with the Anki software based on what I read in the (highly recommended book) Fluent Forever. Adding images makes the flashcards so much more memorable. It's the only reason I didn't renew my premium membership

Best I've found so far

I'm one of those "No stone left unturned" kind of people and have been trying all the language memory apps with spaced repetition. So far (pretty new to it) this is one of the only ones with contextual material and is the only one I've found which allows you to import your own lengthy contextual content (vs lists). It also allows you to rate how well you yourself feel you have learned so you have more control over your progress and the words you need to work on will keep showing up IN other CONTEXT. I love how I don't have to open specific "decks" to access what I need. It's really well programed. My only complaint is the whole game aspect with the cartoon graphics. The content is grown up and the rewards environment is distracting to me. As is the name of the points... But those are small complaints. I'm very excited to make this a daily habit. Context is everything. Now if there was just a speeches and pronunciation component like at Speechling. These two apps need to get married and have a baby.

Audio almost never works

It’s good, the only thing is that the audio doesn’t work more often than not, so I still need to use it on my computer for the full benefit.

Fantastic

For a few years, I have dabbled my toes in the ocean of language learning but never managed to get any foothold in a language. With lingq, I’ve been able to finally make a serious plunge into German. If you use this app, you can learn a language. It will not teach you completely on its own, and it is not good without the subscription. But if you need or really want to learn a language, the $10 a month is totally worth it.

Great app

This app is easy to use and understand. The only thing that I have trouble with is the fake voice. It would be so much better if it had a real person speaking instead of a robot.
