One of the best ways out there

Lingq is the best and most fun way to learn a language that I know of. I’ve done tons of research to find a good program and this is hands down the best. Well worth the monthly fee.

Theoretically incredible, practically tedious

If I can be perfectly honest, I love the idea of this app, but the interface is not very user-friendly. It should be really simple to copy a text that I want to read, and paste it directly into LingQ as a new lesson, but I can’t figure out how to do that. It would be really cool if under ‘News to Import’ I could organize the publications by publisher or keywords somehow, instead of scrolling mindlessly though article titles I can’t read entirely. This app is so close to being an incredible language tool, it’s frustrating to see how irritatingly not user-friendly it is at the moment. Until these issues are fixed, I might look for alternative tools elsewhere.

Issues I have with the Japanese app

1. No dynamic resizing of font size. Makes it difficult to use by anyone with vision problems because the furigana is too small, and for complicate kanji I have to learn, I’d prefer to be able to enlarge the characters dynamically. 2. Uses romaji and not hiragana for the furigana. As an intermediate level user, the last thing I want to be exposed is romaji. The app could be excellent for other languages, and any users not sensitive to the issues mentioned above. Disappointing as the general concept is sound, and I am sure, effective.

Bugs fixed!!

***edit*** the LingQ has worked and fixed the bugs that I was having previously. Now the app works flawlessly. I LOVE using this language learning app on the go. I love the online version of LingQ. Unfortunately, I'm unable to learn-on-the-go with the app. The interface seems like it would be great, but it almost always crashes before I can even load a lesson. Until the developer addresses these issues, I cannot recommend this app.

Unattractive interface, slightly confusing

The interface is inexplicably not that fun to look at so it makes it hard to return. And it’s a bit confusing to maneuver. The lessons need to be organized more concisely

With the goal setting on app, it keeps me moving ! It motivates me! The ability to import makes this app awesome, i can really direct my own learning which is invaluable. Keep up the good work!

The best app that helps me to learn another language

Aquaddict

I’ve tried duolingo. Fabulous app. And I finished the whole content on Italian and got my golden owl. I am an avid Italki user, taking 4 lessons a week. I bought many books on learning Italian ( those mostly unused). Of all methods I’ve tried and still trying, LingQ came as a surprise. It has already taken me far surpassed what I’ve done on my own. Learning Italian is no longer a chore. I wanted to learn, but learning seemed so stressful before LingQ came along. With all other methods, I got the illusion that I can speak Italian, but my comprehension was not quite there. I am confident that with LingQ, I can finally get somewhere that I will be happy about. Hopefully in six months.

This app is a fantastic tool for learning languages and it is super fun.

Seriously, just import an ebook in the language you’re learning and get engrossed in a story or history and learn words at an incredible pace without even trying. I would have spent twice as much for this to be honest.
