Great program, bad app

Alisa1147

I love using lingq, and really feel that it is one of the most useful resources for learning a language. That said, the app doesn't work properly. Once you download it's and open it the first time it won't reopen again. I keep having to delete and re-download the app!

This is a best teacher

Thanks for the LingQ

Love it

I love this app, I am about to pay for the membership to be able to use all the features. I haven't seen a better way to expand your vocabulary than this... I recommend this to anyone who is short on time due to their daily obligations and trying to learn a language. You still need to add an active way to practice the language but it is the BEST for acquisition of new vocabulary, totally worth it.

Great!

I tell so many people about lingq that they ought to be paying me a salary. I've become fluent in Russian in just three years using the app and website, so I'm happ to recommend it to anyone. "Fluent", by the way, truly means fluent - I've passed the European standard test for russian at the advanced level, and talk about philosophy with Russian friends weekly. This system is fantastic.

The Best Way to Learn Languages

Trevie3

When it comes to learning vocabulary, and being able to recall grammar rules without consciously knowing them, there's no better method than LingQ. For reading and listening there's nothing better.

I can tell lingQ is for computers

I use lingq almost everyday. I love to listen to a language after having having class on the Internet and having a measuring stick see how far I came after a few months of learning is fun. The reason why I am giving it a low score is because the app isn't as good as the website. What they need to improve the most is re-looking up works you put in your "words know" list. Along with highlighting phrases. Both features are computer exclusive, and it can be annoying if you accidentally added a word in your word know list and have to go to your computer to fix the problem. I would like a more organized download system. It can be confusing what is downloaded and not. A mark somewhere will be nice. And warning when the app crashes (which does happen often) you might loose all downloads. And lastly is a better upload system that works for iPad. The upload is a little confusing on the computer but it is great when you figure it out. I wish you could just copy and past on your iPad, but it isn't that easy. I think this is great for listening and reading. This app isn't perfect it it does take some trial and error it figure out how to use it completely, but it can be worth it at the end.

:) Good language learning app.

Ok but very difficult and unclear translations

Rosslicious

I used this for Dutch and the translations are unclear and it progressed way too fast. I will come back when I'm better at Dutch. I like the listening component. I would give it lower than four stars but would feel guilty since it's clear a lot of work was put into this app.

AMAZING but..

Thank you to whoever built this app! It's amazing and effective and the best one I have ever seen but I do have questions. I am having problems making flashcards (how do I make them?) and don't understand the high kiting features of the text of the lessons. Other than that it's wonderful! Please respond back so I can continue using this app soon!
