Why did you remove the membership ID from the app. How am I supposed to identify myself without it when I call in? Such a pain otherwise.


Can’t log in

I can’t log in to my account on the app. Same user name and password used on my computer doesn’t work here. Why? Also, I can’t link my account to the forms/ shake website using my member ID# either. Very frustrating. Why have this if I can’t even use it? I’ll change my review once things change. Until I can use the app, I can’t give it a positive review.

For the last 6 months I had a methane gas leak in my apartment making me extremely sick, I joined this to get help because it took the owner 6 months to finally fix it and the lawyer rudely said I don’t have much of a case and I might get $100 back for the 6 months I was sick from the gas poisoning that almost killed me. Glad to know your lawyers think my life is worth $100.


Concerns about the App itself

So far so good with services. However, the app itself is extremely glitchy. Comparing the UI to other services it isn’t quite as appealing as services such as LifeLock. Saw there website and it looks like they are in need of new UI/UX developers and or iOS engineers. Let me know if you need help finding these, I can help! This should be a clean, appealing, and smooth experience for the user.


Rude customer service in my experience

The first attorney I talked seemed almost angry at me for asking questions about uncertainties in my situation at the time (Isn’t this part of seeking legal advice?) When you ask to cancel your service (only possible by calling in), you’ll be pitched a few reasons as to why to keep your membership... and if you continue to ask to cancel, you’ll be basically hung up on (transferred to an automated message telling you to email your written request to cancel your membership).

Hello, First and foremost, I had spoken with two law clerks from that particular law firm. I get two different stories. One tells me that they didn’t receive my email, the other tells me that my email is in a hub. The second law clerk tells me that we changed our email. Both law clerks tried telling me that the email I gave them isn’t their email after I told them I had the email in front of me. It tells me where the email came from where it says “From.” After I get off the phone, I noticed that someone had read the email. That would mean that the second law clerk was lying about it being the wrong email. So I called back and spoke with Abraham. He agreed that it didn’t sound right as far as me being told that they changed their email. I told him that it didn’t make sense for them to change an email within a few days. He told me that he was going to pass along my concerns to upper management. So then I get off the phone and see an email from the law firm. It was from the same email that I shared with them. The only reason why the second clerk responded back was because I told her that I was going to file a complaint on her. I called Abraham back and told him that someone had sent me an email. He was going to let someone know about it. I look at my voicemail and see that Jeff had called me. He had told me that he works for corporate and that he would help me out. I call back and get someone else, it happens to be his supervisor. So Debbie keeps going on and on about how it’s LegalShield’s policy as far as it being a phone based business. She tells me that it would be up to the attorney if he wanted to send me the email, which would include the referral that I had requested. I tell her more than once that he had turned me down last year. She keeps repeating herself by telling me that it’s LegalShield’s policy. I told her that I had already called the 1-800 number, but she expects me to callback and stress myself out even more. I wasn’t going to deal with those law clerks again. She wasn’t willing to call the law firm to find out if the law firm would be okay with sending me an email. Believe it or not, the same attorney from last year called me. I wasn’t going to waste my time with someone that had already turned me down. She claims that I could of spoken with another attorney from the same law firm. I told her that there is conflict of interest. Abraham even agreed that the whole law firm would be considered conflict of interest if one attorney didn’t want to help me with my school matter. So I tell Debbie that I wanted to speak with someone else. She tells me that there is no one else to speak to. Just so you know, this person wasn’t even sorry at all for how upset I was. It would have taken a minute of the attorney’s time to send me a referral. She threatened to hang up on me after telling her that I would file a complaint. The bottom line is that they don’t want to be flexible at all. They just expect you to follow their policy if you want to receive services. Since they weren’t willing to ask the attorney about sending me a referral via email, I decided to cancel my membership.
