I love how you can remember the characters because of the way they are repeated to you in combinations of sounds and calligraphy.

It’s very useful in teaching how to write Japanese but you won’t be able to access anything past the vowels unless you pay for it. From what I did, the development of my writing definitely improved with the methods used in the app. If you don’t mind spending money on each level, I recommend this for sure.

The Japanese! App was the first step I took in the process of learning Japanese. Though I am still new to learning Japanese this app has helped me greatly. Not only does it teach you to read hiragana and katakana it also teaches you how to write the individual characters, a great step when first learning. Plus also, there are other sections to learn in like vocabulary. Not only is it a great learning device, but it is also easy to use. You do not need any tech skills in order to use the app or understand it. I have never once received an ad on the app, it purely helps me focus on the language and learn. Please consider Japanese! as your starting point in Japanese or as a great practice device for further along Japanese learners.

I love your app, and I’ve been using it for several months now, but with the latest update I have one gripe. Please provide an option to turn off having to press “OK” after you finish drawing a character. I very much preferred it when the app would move on immediately after I draw them.

I used to have an android tablet with an app similar to this that i found to be thee best Japanese learning app i’d ever come across, it literally taught me all the Japanese i currently know and helped me retain it. I was super upset when my tablet broke and i went over to apple devices and found out the hard way they dont offer the same app for ios. This is the closest if not better than the previous app i had on android and they even have a second app for more advanced kanji the previous app did not offer. I cant recommend this and the kanji app enough, even bought the full versions of both. Thank you dear creator for what you do with this app!!

I’ve been looking for an app that not only helps with learning hiragana and katakana, but strokes and repetition. This is perfect!! I didn’t hesitate to spend the money for it. Hopefully the continue making other parts of grammar like conjugations, adjectives, numbers, etc. I’d buy them and recommend them.
