This is a good app especially if you are trying to learn to write in Japanese but there are only a few lessons that are free and then you have to pay to unlock. If there was a watch add feature or if the app was completely free it would be better. Other than that it is a good app.

I would say that $8 is a reasonable price an app that will help you learn the basis. I know there was a review saying that education should be free, but there is a cost to maintain a good app. Besides, it’s just a one time payment of about $8, which is low compared to buying a guide book (which doesn’t have reminders or reviews).

I have wanted to learn Japanese for some time. Free apps like Duo__ (you know that one) are pretty great, but incomplete for Japanese in one particular and significant way, at least for how I discovered I need to learn. Although I added the appropriate language keyboard so I could immerse myself more, I still didn't feel like I was connecting the sounds with the the characters, and more importantly, I didn't quite feel like it was connecting with me yet. I need to learn how to write them in my own hand, to feel the language too. This app does just that, and I've only done Katagana lesson 1. I will be buying the full suite of lessons, though! The only feedback I have, which is why it's 4 stars and not 5, is that I would love the option to practice just one syllable/character over and over. (I'm having tremendous trouble with mastering あ for some reason.) That aside, this app is exactly what I was hoping it would be!

You can access every lesson for free in duolingo. There is no reason to use this money digging app.

Sorry to compare but this is much better than duolingo. Totally worth the money, as it goes into more depth and the order you learn things actually makes sense. No hate for duolingo but this is a great option for japanese as it is specifically for it

The dev really knows about teaching and formats it perfectly to the mobile scene- and when I say perfect I mean absolutely flawlessly. The passion for educating really shines through over other apps. Wish I could rate this more stars

This is my first time playing. I’m sorry to say this but it’s really hard to find a good Japanese learning app without paying someone.I just want to learn Japanese and speak fluently. Please fix this game, I don’t want to pay just to learn a language.
