Helps with learning but could be better

@kishante

I really like this app, how it teaches you stroke order and how to write while teaching you the characters. I wish there was an option to sign in so that the app keeps your place between devices. I use my iPad when learning and my phone with the stroke order turned off as a flash card system. But I have to make sure to go through the lessons on both devices. It would be nice to have them sync automatically.

Great App - Worth it and I’ve tried many!

Nick's App

I have tried so many Japanese apps but this gives the best pace, vocabulary and grammar without being too simple. Builds wonderfully on each level and helps you learn kanji and grammar super fast. This was so user friendly and intuitive without being dumb. It looked almost too simple in the preview but it builds difficultly well. I’m amazed that most of the negative reviews are “I don’t want to pay” complaints. For $7.99 and no monthly fees, this was a steal and I’ve tried many apps. Complainers - are you giving away hundreds of hours of your labor for free? Didn’t think so.

Great app!

I did the free content in this app and realized it was worth 7.99 to get the full version. The style of teaching is very intuitive for learning basic Japanese. Highly considering getting the paid version of the Kanji app by the same developer as well. This app is very high quality and you can tell that the creator knows both Japanese and English well, which is what you should look for in a teacher. My only issue is that when you click an answer there’s a slight delay sometimes, but that’s basically nitpicking. Overall I’d give this app 9.6/10

This is a super good app that lets you learn hirigana, katakana, and kanji. It also helps you with grammar and how to construct a sentence. It doesn’t have ads for “premium” or “plus ultra” every four seconds and the free lessons extend a long way. Would totally recommend!

It’s GREAT if you need to refresh your learning and for beginners. At first I thought it was too easy since I only needed to refresh what I already know but I continued through and ended up buying the full lesson. Mind you, I’ve tried countless apps but they just miss the mark because if you feel like you have some of your katakanas as and hiraganas down, then you need to head the pronounciation more often and you need to learn the correct way of writing it. I ended up ordering a $10 pen for my phone so that I can practice my writing better. I also skipped a couple of levels to check out how it teaches you writing and so far, I liked how I taught kanji. It shows you reading it first before you memorize how to write it which I believe is essential because you need to become familiarized with kanji first before you can try to remember how to write it.

Amazing apps

Starts with the basics and teaches you how to write and pronounce words, no ads, I happily paid $18 total for this app and the other kanji app by this publisher
