Great stuff

Most apps aren’t as good as this one in my humble honest opinion.

Near perfect for learning

Love it.

I have recently started learning Japanese. I started with duolingo and learned a few things but it wasn't the best. Then I found this app and tried it out and thought it was great! So I bought the rest of it and I love that you can do the typical multiple choice and learn to draw the characters in the right order. Definitely the best app for learning Hiragana, Katakana, etc.

Great App Minus Crashing

Penumbrial

This app is great; I’ve recommended it for accelerated learners to get up to snuff on kana and kanji quickly; however, when I go through it, it hard crashes on my device every few lessons (iPhone 8+). I’m not sure if I’m going too fast or what, but it hard crashes and requires my phone to passcode back in. My partner does not have this issue on her 6S. Great app, just frustrating when it crashes near the end of a long lesson or review and I have to start over.

Very good.

Hirakki

Very organized.

Really like the App but it freezes up

tapitcher

I have learned a lot from this app and really like it. It has helped me recognize characters. The downsize is the app freezes up regularly and it’s really frustrating to have to close the app and open it back up so often. If it was a free app I wouldn’t complain but having to pay for an app the freezes costs the app two stars from me.

A great companion app

Tunguskabananaj

I am using this to practice brush strokes and help with memorization and it is easily worth the few dollars I paid to upgrade it. This app has a very intuitive nature for memory that really helps things sink in. I use this in conjunction with a few other resources such as grammar and vocabulary books to really progress my Japanese forward. I would highly recommend to any serious about learning the language.

Worth the money!

I’ve been through a lot of apps. It is more important to review what we have learned to make sure it is retained in our memory. This app provides a better way to review once you have finished your lesson. The flash card type system is useful for learning and reviewing. Good color representation in charts to mark weak spots. One feature I feel it is missing is when writing a letter if there is unexpected key stroke by mistake, then there is no way to erase the key stroke. That letter is then marked as wrong and marked as weak spot. So if possible I recommend an erase button for the writing area.
