Annoying popup demanding a review

KenZmn

The app gives an annoying popup every time I try to use it demanding I rate it. I do not recommend this app as it has an annoying popup asking for a rating and review every time I try to use it.

Okay for KeePass, Bad at built-in SSH

Psi-Jack

This seems to have potential, great support in KeePass, and great cloud storage support, albeit minimal and not so intuitive, but I finally managed to figure some things out with it. The built in SSH though is highly lacking and only supports ANSI mode, which most things don’t support these days. Needs real terminal emulation support before it can be better.

Great

It works great, I moved to Kypass after issues with Mini Keepass formatting and don’t regret it at all. The UI is fairly hideous but from what I understand themes are coming in 4.1. Excellent functionality.

Finally!

I wanted a password program that was cheap, easy to use and if I was lucky would accept my android keepass database. This does all that and it automatically syncs with my drop box. I have no clue why people are you buying this instead of the other programs such that don't have half the options.

constant crashes, forced to pay to upgrade every version

J.b.07

I have been using Kypass through the last three versions. It would crash every time I updated for the first two so I used it in read only mode for years only updating on my laptop. Now the third version no longer lets me read files from Dropbox and so I am forced to upgrade to this latest. I don't mind paying if this was a quality product but I get terrible functionality and am forced to upgrade and repay.

FAIL

Can't find my .kdbx file in dropbox. I want a refund! Now I'm going to have to transfer hundreds of passwords to a new app... Great!

Upgrade not worth the price

kms.us

I had Kypass 3 and upgraded to 4. I honestly don't see much difference that justifies paying for a new version. What I find disappointing is that hitting search always causes a crash; starting the app wants me to rate the app yet I can't since touch unlock makes this annoying request, that pops up every time, go away. Last but not least, the UI, colors, fonts make this look like a last century app. I may be the only 1 of 5 people on the planet who don't want to be on Facebook, but it's also disappointing that it's the only method to get in touch with the developers.

Great reliable app - 1 suggestion for improvement.

I use this app to manage 4 different key files and this app works amazingly better than the free versions of passdrop that I had before. For those complaining about the price of upgrading to the new version, stop whining. Last pass is WAY more expensive, and I don’t mind paying this developer a few dollars every couple years if it means he will continue developing and supporting this app. Nothing is worse than the developer abandoning an app that you love and eventually it can’t be used anymore. I sync my 4 key files from 4 different Dropbox folders including 2 different Dropbox accounts. One of my key files has hundreds of entries, and the app handles it without any problem. There is one feature with the new version that I do not like, and would like it changed back. I don’t like how all groups are automatically expanded. When I need to reach an entry which appears alphabetically at the bottom of my list, I have to scroll, and scroll, and scroll, seemingly forever until I reach the entry. It was much more efficient when I could tap into a group and it would expand. I understand why some users would like everything to be expanded, so how about making both options available?

Supports attachments but crash prone

Ano-nym-ous

I bought KyPass so that I could use attachments, and that it does. However, the app is extremely buggy, it crashes all the time - on record deletion, on move, on creating a new group, etc. It's a crash central. This is somewhat mitigated by TouchID support so reopening is quick, but it's still a major nuisance. The search doesn't work on special fields. But it's the same in KeePass Touch. The item details window is a bit confusing. I wish there was a way to collapse the Expiration and History fields to make Notes field more visible. Overall, the graphic design is a bit odd. And there's no way to launch a browser by typing on the URL, have to copy it & paste into Safari. It does support direct sync to Dropbox and Google Drive. And in all the crashes so far I had no data loss. So, all in all, I'd rate it at 3 stars and only because of attachments. If you don't need attachments, there are other choices that are more stable.

Excellent App and Developer

nikobradshaw

In a previous version of the app my WebDAV setup wasn’t working. I contacted the dev for support and got a response. Now the issue is fixed and the app works great! I love that I can now login from Safari or other browsers. Very good app and it made replacing my other password manager (LastPass) easier as now I can do everything that I could before, thanks to this app.
