It does what it needs to do....

I have read other reviews, and personally rarely write reviews. However, having used 1Password, and tested others, I was seeking a way to painlessly “sync” my keepass data from one device to the next. KyPass has solved the issue of copying the data manually, and has done that part well across what it does support. Yes, the UI coloring is stale - but frankly I would rather a functioning app that’s also dependable and reliable. Yes this version is a fee. But frankly, everyone putting in time needs to supplement their time. Most apps will release incremental updates for free while major is another fee. But if you are paying to have someone else control your data (encrypted or not), then you are already paying more. (Or not factoring in security). KyPass does what it’s supposed to do, what I NEEDED it to do, and I look forward to see how it gets polished.

V4 has problems displaying long text items Items in lists overlap vertically making them unreadable Specifically, any item whose length make it ‘wrap around’ is diplayed partially overlapping the item above and the item below V3 does nothave this problem for me

KyPass works really well on iPhone. So really good features compared to others. Good support too.

Annoying nagware that keeps popping up reminding me to review the app.

So I purchased v3 and loved it so I thought v4 was going to be sick! Purchased it and was extremely disappointed. Google Drive doesn't work, Upload file doesn't work on my new iphone x. Kinda a bummer as v3 doesn't work error with Google drive anymore. Thanks for nothing, tried to contact you but I don't use Facebook. If you want to reach out to me francispbaker <@> gmail.com

Please fix this one bug yet

Currently this application searches don't filter out results from my backup folder. Proper implementation of Keepass 2 files would take into account "Searching Entries in this Group" flag set as Disabled. I have set that flag to "Disabled" for my Backup folder but this application ignores the above flag and still brings search results from my backup folder. I have set that flag in official Windows version of the application. When I open my keepass files in some other applications - the search behaves correctly and don't bring up multiple results from my backup folder.Kypass unfortunately still reports searches from folders marked as Disabled in "Searching Entries in This Group" property. Could you please implement that feature? more info about this : josiahgarber.com/blog/2012/01/how-to-stop-keepass-from-searching-backup-keys/ Thank you

Best choice for KeePass support on iOS

I love the app. It’s definitely an improvement over the previous KyPass versions. That said, the only issue I have with this app is that it seems to have trouble with conflicts and syncing on Dropbox. This has improved and only rarely occurs now. I then have to use the synchronize feature on the official keepass app on the PC to make sure any new entries are added back to my main keepass file and then delete the conflict files afterwards. It’s definitely better at handling conflicts than KyPass 3 was though. I am unsure if this is an issue on other cloud storage providers or just Dropbox. I’m happy with the improvements so far compared to KyPass 3 and the Face ID feature works flawlessly with the iPhone X. The Safari action extension for filling in your username and password on a site that was added in version 3 is great too. It doesn’t work as flawlessly as the official Apple password solution but I still use the feature. Some people will whine about having to pay for this upgrade but it does have new features and improvements and it sure is much cheaper than any of the password manager services with monthly fees! While it would be awesome if KeePass released an official iOS app, until that happens this is the app I will be using for managing my keepass data on iOS and automatically keeping it in sync between all my devices with Dropbox. KyPass 4 also seems to have fixed other issues such as one related to backgrounding that KyPass 3 had which allowed you to copy the password from whatever the last viewed entry was if you could click fast enough right after switching back to KyPass 3 even when the database should have been locked. The QR code share feature is also very useful if you need to share a specific entry/password with a significant other, coworker, or other person who also has the app. This has significantly improved compared to version 3 as well.

Trouble

I have been very satisfied with the earlier versions of KyPass, but with this version there is a huge problem. It locks up when I enter the 4 digit PIN and kicks me out. Tried reinstalling and using the password. It accepts the password and then kicks me out again. FIX THIS BUG please! Not worth anything other wise!
