GDrive issue fixed

Beta Test 1

Downloaded the update and still had the issue. Removed GDrive option from app. Uninstalled KyPass and reinstalled. Added GDrive option back and signed in to GDrive. KeePass file downloaded and I was able to access the file. Thanks to the dev for the fix.

Not working with the latest update

mswern

Ever since I updated to 4.3 a few days ago the app crashes whenever I try to edit an entry on a pass file synced on dropbox. I sync two files via Dropbox and the app crashes when attempting to edit an entry on either. I’ve even tried reinstalling the app. Other than that the app is a simple and straightforward way to manage passwords across multiple devices. Hope this bug can be resolved quickly.

Great App but Update has a few issues

mattgraf58

+1) nice look in the update. - 1) using iCloud to share file with my other IOS devices does not work. - 2) When I update file thru website with my MAC I am unable to delete old file on my iPad or iPhone.

Mandatory if you use keepass

BennSKirk

I’ve been using keepass on PCs for several years. I tried a few different iOS apps but they all lacked in one or more dimensions. Then I found KyPass, which worked really well. And, the latest version removes the pointless startup animation, which makes me a fully satisfied user. I have had a few issues with Chrome integration, but even with those it’s still awesome.

Lame

Cant rate app all names taken

Doesn’t update totp codes when they expire (or show a countdown), uses old keypass file format, doesn’t sync with megasync. Doesn’t even add the totp account when you scan a qr code for it! The menu to add the totp is hidden and convoluted. Heck, the whole ui is clumsy and unintelligible (and butt-ugly!) Not worth paying for but would be ok if free.

Thank you

Been using KeyPass/KyPass for many, many years. Thank you for your service to the public. Rob

Crashes when I try to edit (fixed - updated to 5 stars)

Ally in tha N.O.

Absolutely love this app, I've had it for years; however, with the latest update, whenever I tried to edit an entry the app crashed. I disconnected from dropbox, dumped the app and reinstalled and still no luck. After reporting the error, the developers fixed it immediately! This app makes things soooooo much easier

Awesome Design Update

Overall, the app is fantastic. Everything works how I would expect, and the custom key file handling is great. It has a few minor rough edges, such as extra clicks to swap databases or input TOTPs, but honestly I experienced the same ‘rough edges’ on the more commercialized apps too (likely Apple limitations to data handling). Using dropbox databases with local keyfiles spread between mobile, pc, and mac all works. Really loving the bigger design elements and updates to the UI. I’m probably more of a “power-user” and have customized every little thing to my exact liking. This now feels more user friendly and more powerful than 1Password ever did.

Good app when it works

AlarmMan80

One of the best apps on iPhone, when it works (as far as syncing goes). I’ve used my keypass database from Android, MAC & Windows and they always worked together. I use OneDrive for my cloud database and no matter what cloud service I use if I reset my phone I lose quite a few password entries.

SFTP does nothing at all. Support forum fails to register.

Albert Morrison

Truly infuriating. The credentials and connection details I put in for SFTP sync work in a dozen other places with no issue. In KyPass, no connection attempt is even made according to server logs. When I try to remove an SFTP “folder” from the list, the app just crashes. To its credit, when you relaunch the app the folder is deleted. So... that’s good I guess. I enabled logging in the advanced settings and reproduced both the crash and connection attempts. There is no indication that a connection attempt was made or that a crash occurred in the ensuing log file. Not very helpful. Thinking I could get some help, I went to the author’s site and was met with a forum for support. When I try to register to post on the forum, I get an error about directory permissions in the forum software. No help there. Hopefully Apple will take pity and refund me. Definitely can’t recommend this one to anybody wanting to use SFTP.
