Just got used to the last version

I had just gotten used to the last update and now it has changed again. I still don’t like the buried stories. They should all be listed on the home page so you know what’s there. I do find that KCCI updates their content more often than WHO—particularly before 8:00 am. Overall I like KCCI’s weather section better than WHO’s. I liked the sunrise and sunset times on the last version. I think I found those once on this version but now I can’t remember what to click on. I am quite disturbed by the full page pop-up ad that appears every time the app opens. I’m quite good at closing it before it completely loads, so their advertising isn’t working on me. And why does every day’s forecast say “rain” with a percentage from 0 to whatever? I keep seeing that and thinking that rain is actually in the forecast. Even when snow is forecasted it still says “rain”. Huh? Please stop playing the audio for ads when I haven’t clicked on anything and I don’t even know what the ad is for. It really freaks me out, especially in the middle of the night.
Ad takeover makes the app almost unusable now

Ads now takeover the app obnoxiously often. I just had a video ad steal the app 6 times in less than a minute as I scrolled through the headlines. I like the slightly different view of local news the app provides compared to the other local apps I use. I may have to delete this one soon though if the ads aren’t fixed.
Repeating Video Ads

Not worth downloading. Stories are infrequently updated or are of minimal local coverage. What’s worse is that video ads keep repeating and playing while trying to read an article. Even when you close the ad, it pops up and starts playing again within a couple seconds!!! I’ll use other local stations’ apps to read local coverage.

If one more add video pops up without me ever even touching the screen I’m going to delete your app that’s garbage update ten mins later 5 ads pop up your apps deleted now peace ✌️

Terrible application constantly is throwing up fullscreen adds the same one over and over and over the app crash you have to close out and restart what was KCCI thinking. If they don’t revert to a previous version that works I’m going to delete this app and go to some other station to h*ell with KCCI
