1st every video has a commercial. 2nd lately when you go to watch a video it will play the commercial and then won’t play the actual video you were trying to watch.

Not sure if everyone is having this issue but all of a sudden I can’t look at anything without a video ad taking over my screen. Extremely annoying! I am looking at your app to keep up on the news, not find new products to look for at the grocery store! I can’t event read a story without it popping up 3-4 times. Hopefully this gets fixed soon or I will be using a different news provider from now on.

I had just gotten used to the last update and now it has changed again. I still don’t like the buried stories. They should all be listed on the home page so you know what’s there. I do find that KCCI updates their content more often than WHO—particularly before 8:00 am. Overall I like KCCI’s weather section better than WHO’s. I liked the sunrise and sunset times on the last version. I think I found those once on this version but now I can’t remember what to click on. I am quite disturbed by the full page pop-up ad that appears every time the app opens. I’m quite good at closing it before it completely loads, so their advertising isn’t working on me. And why does every day’s forecast say “rain” with a percentage from 0 to whatever? I keep seeing that and thinking that rain is actually in the forecast. Even when snow is forecasted it still says “rain”. Huh? Please stop playing the audio for ads when I haven’t clicked on anything and I don’t even know what the ad is for. It really freaks me out, especially in the middle of the night. Now I’m getting a pop-up ad that I am NOT clicking on that takes over the screen and I can’t get rid of it.

These ads keep getting worse. At one point they would pop up when the app is opened. Now it’s a constant fight just to read the next article. This has made this app not worth the space on my phone anymore.

I agree with Carrots4lunch BUT I’m sick of the OLD news ( re: Halloween pics still on your site and it’s Springtime in Iowa). Seriously I’m prob going to just chunk your site off my phone. Just like we’ve done with our television favorite. It’s now CH 5 WOI. No longer KCCI nor WHO WELL, ( you) keep asking me to rate your app. ??

Every time they tweak this site it is less user friendly and has more junk , hidden content and aged content. It used to be the best in Iowa. Not so any more. More frequent weekend updates would be nice too. This is a 24/7 world.

Kcci has the best app by far. Not a big fan of the adds I wish for a small fee we could op out of adds like other apps. I depend on kcci for news and weather.

Too many advertisements

I look at articles in the app for my local news, but if I want to watch news clips/videos, the advertisements are too much. The silent switch on my iPhone doesn't mute the advertisement as expected, and can be disturbing if I'm in the office. It's really a poor experience. I end up switching to other news sources. Please allow us to at least watch the first video without advertisements and then have one advertisement before the following video.

I check this ap every day when I can sit idle for a few minutes as I don't have time or just can't catch the tv news and weather.
