Awesome outlet

Once you get it connected, it’s a great outlet. I’m using as part of my automation for my reef aquarium. It did take a little longer then I would have liked to link it to my wifi, but it’s simplicity of functions is awesome. Just set up absolutely next to your wifi before trying some where else.

I absolutely love my light and power system link up. Just with this last update some of my lights are strobing though the colors. But, all in all I love it for the fact I can control my lighting without worry. It’s nice walking in while there’s light. Plus, the outlets are nice for setting up timers for many reasons.
Camera notifications are all or nothing

This app is 90% great. But the “Automatically limit notifications” setting which is supposed to prevent you from getting too many camera notifications in a short time, is ignored for person detection - and this bug has been around for a year at least. There also is no geofencing to stop notifications when I’m at home (though it’s been promised for a while). Together these mean that I get far more camera notifications than I want/need, but I don’t want to fully disable them because then what would be the point of having cameras at all? P.S. Another annoying “feature” that’s never been improved is that a camera motion sensing “smart action” can only turn on one light, not multiple.

The KASA app made it easy to set up and activate all of our Smart Plugs. They work exactly the way we would expect. Easy set up... very intuitive... The app seems logical and is easy to navigate.

We love having this ap and use it with our Google Home. If we are away from home and it’s getting dark we can turn on the porch light, a light in the bedroom and living room lights. If we’re traveling we can make the house look occupied. It works great, we’re very glad to have it.
I got the wifi switches

They work very well, theres little details lije the plate staying flush to the wall and the work trying to connect then to the wifi if you install more than one but all in all really cool stuff i would like to see a plate for multiple switches in the same place (fan, light, outside light,etc)

Prior to using Kasa switches and plugs We were using Wemo products. We aren’t going to bash other manufacturers but we can tell you we aren’t using their products anymore. We’ve been using four Kasa outdoor plugs and seven Kasa wall switches for just over a year. Additionally we’ve given two outdoor plugs as gifts. So far they have been flawless. We highly recommend Kasa products. The app is great and setup is very easy. Thank you for making a quality product for a great price.

For the amount you spend this will be great my only complaint would be The sound quality is not the greatest but great product for the price!
** Software Even Worse Than Plugs **

The only thing worse than their plugs is their software. God forbid you have a plug get “disconnected” as it’s a major ordeal to get it back up and running on Alexa. Out of 6 plugs I mysteriously have 5 offline. I AM STRONGLY CONSIDERING REPLACING ALL 6 OF THEM WITH SOME THAT CAN BE MAINTAINED WITH QUALITY SOFTWARE. Yikes!
