Amazing app.

Wonderful!

I love the fact that you added the common uses feature! I'm not sure how you are going to improve this app with a new update, but I bet you will.

Must have

A great application for those who are first learning Kanji. Friendly interface as well. The developers seem to also care about adding updates to it, so it keeps getting better and better.

Kanji Flip is Flipping Awesome!

Your Kanji Flip program has really kickstarted my studying for the 3kyuu JLPT this year, and has been the most effective study tool that I've used for studying Japanese thus far, and I live in Japan!. The progression system is really great and actually works with the way that I personally learn! If I end up passing the JLPT this year, I'm totally blaming you for it =)

Excellent study tool

I've "looked at" (I can't really say I've been studying) Kanji for years, and kanjiflip is the best and most convenient tool I've found for study. It helps that you always have it with you, so you can pull it out to study at odd moments of idle time. Plus, I find it pulls me on, and I study more than I would normally. A great tool. Thanks!

Very Good Program - even better once I found some "hidden" features

I'm really enjoying using this program (and Japanese Flip as well). It works very well. For those people who have said that it is missing readings for some Kanji, I initially thought so too. However I accidentally brushed my finger in the "Reading(s)" section and noticed that it scrolls to reveal a longer list if the number of readings for a Kanji does not fit in the display space of the "Readings(s)" box. So they are there, you just have to scroll down to see them. The same is true for the "Meaning(s)" section as well. Perhaps it would be better if there was some kind of indication when there are more to be displayed to avoid this confusion - an arrow perhaps? Once I discovered the scroll function in the "Reading(s)" and "Meaning(s)" boxes, I realized that I would like to see it used to enable more than two example words to be listed per Kanji - four or five would be better if possible.

What a great program!  I teach Japanese at our local university. I recommend your program to all the students. A bit advanced for a newer student, but I would recommend Japanese Flip by the same developer for a little lighter get go into Japanese.

Great... almost perfect

Missing a few things but other than that, this is a great program. Andre you rock at this. Other iPod programers should use you as a model for making apps. Please consider this though. 1. Corolate the data with Japanese Flip! Or at least let us group or work data on a similar level with the same kanji and vocab! 2. Really easy kanji showing up in level 1 and 2 is REALLY not necessary... Take that stuff out please. It's very annoying having to click that you KNOW the kanji over and over. 3. Better tracking of known and not known kanji would be helpful. 3.

Pretty decent

I tend to use Japanese Flip more often than this. Having said that this is still a great app. Don't quiz yourself initially. Use browse mode to acquaint yourself with the kanji then have a go at it.

Nothing Compares-- the best!

The 'Flip' system is simply amazing. It is not merely a flash card app. Anyone studying Japanese could benefit from this. I find myself using this for a few minutes throughout the day, as well as longer sessions from time to time. You cannot beat the convenience. Most importantly, though, is the system itself. Kanji Flip introduces you to new kanji while continuing to review those you've already studied. Very important to note-- it focuses on those kanji that give you difficulty, and will not stop focusing until you begin to more regularly remember them. It's a thrill to see your stats increase over time (and addicting!). I cannot recommend Kanji Flip enough. The same goes for Japanese Flip.
