Useless Remote Start

I’m so tired of the constant inability to pre-start my car with this useless app. I live in Houston where there are basically three months of 100° weather. The last two days have been record breaking freezes. I’m either sweating or freezing my tail off before I get into my car. Here are my steps: Open app. Click OK on the opening prompt. Scroll over to the remote, click on the start engine button, and select OK on the prompt that alerts me I’m about to start my engine. Watch the engine start prompt spin around and do nothing for a solid minute for absolutely nothing to happen. Repeat 3 times. Give up. Bear the elements, and plant my bum on the leather that’s the opposite temperature I want it to be. You know what my husband does with his 5 year old Acrua? He double clicks a button on his key fob. Sheesh.

As much as I love my F type, that’s how much I detest the uselessness of this app. It updates on occasion. Well, it SAYS it’s updating, but it never does, always blaming “connection” issues. Too bad. I’d love to know what’s up since the first day the app was installed.....months ago.

This app is very unstable. Functionality hasn’t improved in the three years I’ve owned the car. You’d think Jaguar would have better tech.
Can’t consistently remote start my XJL

What is the point of an app if it can’t reliably remote start a car. Why didn’t they add remote start to the keypad like every other luxury car in the market. Or invest more than three dollars in IT development for this app.

As another person has stated this app is awful! Utilized the remote start feature while out of town and it shut down my entire car. Three hours away from the nearest dealership. Had to rent a car. So frustrated with a “luxury” vehicle application. Do Better!!

It’s odd that the app for the Jaguar and Land Rover both share the worst app for such an expensive vehicle- my friends Nissan Maxima has a much better app even Ford. As matter of fact ever car manufacturer has a better app than this!

This app takes forever to load, and the main feature (remote start) works about 30% of the time.

Guys .. Just log out of the app .. disconnect the positive battery cable for 15 seconds reconnect it lock the doors sign back into the app and it’s fixed . Easy ?
