Potential but not there yet

d'Armond

I like the potential of this app, but there are some key gaps that make it unusable. My training plan involves alternating days of running and weight training and a recovery day. But you can't add weight training to a plan, and the plan forces you to select four workouts, so I can't use any of the training features. Most of the exercises I do are not available and there's no way to add new ones. So I can't do the cross-training workouts. Either significantly expand the library of exercises or let us add our own. Minor annoyance: very often when I'm using the headphones the app tells me that they're not connected so I can't adjust settings. Disappointing considering how expensive the hardware is. UPDATE: One year later and none of the problems have been addressed. No Health Kit integration means I have to use another app to collect my stats. No Apple Watch integration. No way to edit workout data after a run. Great hardware severely limited by the software. Since Jabra seems unresponsive to customer feedback I’m reducing my rating.

App won’t launch

Tap, crash. Rinse repeat. iPhone X with the latest iOS installed. No idea how the app is.

Great app. Needs more updates.

Needs iPhone X update. The star review will go to a four star if it updates to support the iPhone X

Needs work

Does not integrate with other healthcare apps like Apple’s health app. Heart monitor and workout sessions crash on iPhone X with latest updates Without the health features it makes the Jabra Sports Pulse headsets just an expensive Bluetooth Earphones

Need HR compatibility with Apple Health app

Generally speaking, I like the information that’s available in the Jabra app. However, it would be nice if I could write HR to Apple’s app or sync with other apps like Nike+ Run Club or Garmin connect. Because of the total lack of 3rd party integration, I actually wear a wrist-based HR monitor so that I can get a live read-out on my Garmin VivoActive. That’s a shame since I have HR available with my headphones. I kept this rating at 3 stars because this is the best app I have for tracking VO2 max. If this app had better integration, I’d give it 5 stars. Also, in the app it says you can back up as a part of the iPhone backup, but I personally lost all of my data even though my phone was backed up and I restored from backup.

Love the ear buds, left much to desire from the app

Still too lacking for the app, an easy feature I would like to see is 3D touch on the app icon for easy hear through toggle option.

Close but no cigar.

It does not seem like the people that build this app actually try to use it in the real world. There are many problems and bugs. Like sometimes the GPS gets wonky and there is no way to fix it. So the Activity history ends up with wrong information, And my timing and run speeds end up completely incorrect. Also, when the training program tells me to go out for a 45 minute run for a training effect of 3.1, and I slow down and speed up when it tells me to, I end up hitting the training effect 15 or 20 minutes early. It’s very confusing and I don’t understand. Also, if I’m scheduled for a run for Sunday but I can’t do it that day and I want to go for a run on Monday, the training program won’t let me do a run on Monday because I can’t move the Sunday run to Monday. And then the next scheduled run isn’t until Tuesday or Wednesday. I will also agree with everyone else that there is very poor integration with this phone and any other activity apps. Otherwise, great headphones.
