Overwhelming and too obscure

Had a hard time getting into this game. While it is fun at first, the laws of linking portals makes no sense. And is never explained. Just too much going on and doesn’t really feel like the game has a purpose to the story or portals. Coupled with the fact that nobody even plays the game, it’s a massive bummer.

The ease of use of the original scanner has been greatly reduced by this flashy new mess. My friend, new to ingress in general, is stuck in a tutorial he cannot complete, while I am struggling to find options that were once embedded in muscle memory. The one thing I liked best about the original app was the sound of smashing resonators, and even that has been removed. Bad menus, horrible button placement, vastly faster glyph display, slow link discovery, overly busy graphics, annoying sound - this upgrade, if our only option, would be enough to make me quit the game.
Great but needs a few things before 5 stars

First any items you buy from the store should not take up space Second please fix the Health promblem Third media should not take up space Fourth capsules should not take up space Firth their should be an option for ads( and when you turn you should earn choas matter over time) There a big bug with the tutorial (To fix just do it at home with no portals around) Another Few features I would ad One favoring portals what does could do for us is make it easier to recharge portals and Protect portals Also make it much more easier for planning trophies and much more Second For the store I like the idea of FS pack But there should be much more for example Mission day pack Anomaly day pack ( may have to update monthly) Also restocking Frackers which it would only double the output on the restocking portal

Our entire family plays niantic games. We are levels 6-14. A total of 7 players. We have been very involved in the Ingress community for events and ops gaining us a feature in one of the media from 2016. This app is such a disappointment for seasoned players and newcomers alike. It’s confusing, buggy, inconsistent and entirely too difficult for new players to grasp. When Redacted goes away, we won’t play anymore. I loved this game but failure to enforce community guidelines and poor app development have lead me to leave niantic.

After playing for a few months, I updated the game and when prompted to login I got an access denied screen. Checked my email and see an account terminated notification claiming I had violated terms of service. Neat. Contacted support, got a copy/paste of the email without any explanation whatsoever. No opportunity to contest whatever it was I was being banned for because I wasn’t given any specific reason. Don’t bother playing, you might be in the same boat as me. Looks like this is happening to a lot of other people as well.

The old scanner was fine, all we needed was single finger navigation added and prime comm, but the prime overhaul ruined a classic. Once redacted is dumped RIP ingress.

I had the game open off and on during 3-4 days and was able to complete 1 task. I was tasked to find a blue or white portal. Found several and was denied access to them. Complete waste of time.
