Good game, UI improving

A lot of reviews on here are from old gripes that have been fixed. There are a couple of minor problems still but overall an improvement over redacted.
A noob joins the OGs

I know that Ingress really needs good ratings to get back off the ground, setting as how it got bombed by OG players, but I do need to say that even as someone who has only known Prime, I might have preferred Redacted. Sure, the visuals of Prime got me started playing, but most of the complaints I see on here have merit, or the issues they mentioned existed at one point. No, the issue lies in how Niantic ignores the iPhone users, resulting in version inquiry that gives Android users a superior UX. Don’t BS me about why code redemption is impossible on mobile-fix it and let me uninstall the app I need to use to get the job done on the go. You might never reach 5-star from me, but fixing the annoying glitches (infinite globe, I’m looking at you) and leaving the funny ones (random giant yellow arrow on loading screen) would almost certainly bring me to revise my rating. Still, first priority after infinite globe: FIX CODES.

I think the Prime version is a huge improvement on the game. Though honestly I don’t play much, there’s simply so much more going on in Pokémon Go and Wizards Unite (I’ve played all three and mostly play WU these days). Solo Ingress play is just kind of meh. I’m sure it’s a lot better if you find the local community. Communication about events also feels vague or fleeting. You can’t access news or an event calendar in game. Most events seem to be in random locations across the globe (aka inaccessible by casual players).

Prime has gotten much more stable than it was when Redacted was removed but it still has issues. It still crashes occasionally when switching between apps. It still forgets, sometimes, who you are and sends you to the new user “Pick a faction” screen and needs to be restarting 6 or 7 before it finally recognized that you are not a new user. It still uses a lot of data, especially at start up, and with the above two issues requiring restarts you can use a lot of data very quickly. But... It’s still the game I have the most fun playing, once I get it started.

I love this game but User interface is just horrible. Look on Pokémon go where UI is so friendly
Speed of notification in-game

An okay game to play. Problem is the speed of notification. Once an attack happens, it’s too slow to react on the recent attacks to begin recharging.
Niantic needs a QA dept

If they even have one, get a new one. I am so tired of crash to desktop etc etc etc. Every app on this platform is buggy AF and it's really making me question my commitment to helping keep this boat from sinking. It's the die-hard players that keep slogging through buggy update after buggy update often with regressions (not to mention all the intel issues) that keep this game from fading into memory, it would be nice if Niantic realized that before it's too late.
I want to give this a higher rating.

The reason I can only give Ingress a 1 star rating is not due to it being a bad game. I’m giving Niantic a 1 star review due to them being prejudice against certain players.
