Connects to camera but refuses to transfer. $700 for a camera advertised to do WiFi and Bluetooth transfers to a phone, and the app doesn’t work for most people, literally a scam.
FRUSTRATING

This app is always popping up with errors. I have to delete what was downloaded and start over. Now it won’t connect to my WiFi and says I’m not not registered after 4 years of using. Love my camera. Hate this app.

Not sure why this app gets so much hate. I've been using it with my a7 IV, and while it isn't the most elegant app, it gets the job done. The convenience of having full access to all menu items while remote shooting from my mobile device is great, and it is reasonably responsive and robust.

Poorly designed app

It was always a real challenge using this app to transfer my photos from my sony camera to my iphone, but at least I could get it to work. With the newest release of this app, Im lucky if I can get any photos transferred! Rather, I select to transfer all photos from today , and I end up with only -1- photo that has at least a dozen duplicates. Horrible app.

I have used this app with my A7rii but recently it stopped allowing my camera to connect via wifi. I suspect it was changed to no longer support the A7rii

Typical of most camera control apps. Poor showing.

Setup is very much like many other apps. Very janky. Tried to adjust my A7 IV aperture and the app promptly crashed. As stated here in another review the app functions pretty well as a monitor but that's not useful for me. Functionality is questionable- if this ever had the ability to upgrade firmware I would never trust it! Imagine the crashing or refusal to stay connected. I think this should be retired and a new app team brought in to rethink everything for Sony.
