Elliptical

I don’t this this app really works with my elliptical.

App is great in controlling connected equipment but lacks some of the most basic features

SUPABWE

Giving the app 3 stars because it does quite a bit. However, it lacks some of the most basic features that consumers expect to have in a similar app. First and foremost, the Browse section lacks search capability, which requires users to spend a good bunch of time looking for the workout they want to start. People have limited time to workout and if it’s taking me 5-10mins to continue scrolling up and down then thats half my workout time spent. Not to mention the headache (literally) I receive through scrolling up and down. Second, there’s no way to control the video - move it forward to where you left off. Several people get interrupted for various reasons and the last thing they need is to start the same workout from scratch. Big blow on motivation. Lastly, if one starts first of a series of multiple workouts, they have to go to the browse screen and spend a long time (related to first issue listed above) to start the connected second, third related workouts and so on. Having said all of the above, I believe iFit is definitely a great start with tons of improvements awaiting. They need to move forward and close the gap on these basic capabilities before other competitors come to market with better experience and enhanced controls.

So much potential, so much frustration

I love the iFit “outside” workout videos - the app & the non-studio based workouts have so much potential!!! Since I love the concept, it’s so frustrating that there are so many problems with the execution (as detailed in many of the other reviews) - I hope they can fix it. Specifically, the lack of a search function is ridiculous, and if you have the (expensive!) membership you should be able to watch all the videos, both on your machine & on your personal device. (I have the Nordictrack rower, and would love to be able to watch the outdoor walking videos without having to also buy a treadmill.) What would be even more awesome would be a totally non-machine dependent iFit membership for phones & tablets, so you could use the programs on any machine (understand it wouldn’t automatically change the machine settings for you) - my dream combination is the Concept 2 rower + iFit on an iPad.

Nice program, but...

Perhaps I just have the wrong piece of equipment. I have the Pro-form that I bought at Costco which came with a one year membership. Connecting to iFit was simple, unfortunately I find the iFit rides and studio classes to be a bit too easy. The instructors definitely call the resistance changes, but the range on the recent ride I did, Whistler, only varied between 1 and 5. I had to manually override that to keep myself in the 8 to 15 range. I can’t tell if the particular bike I have has different calibration than other bikes. I have the Pro-Form CLC Tour de France model. The instructor made references to raising bike angle that made no sense to me. It would be great if I could adjust the settings to be 2x or 3x the resistance. So, from my perspective, nice 5 star concept with a 2 star execution.

1st walk and job workout

Cookie5995

I rate this workout a 5 star I definitely felt the intensity of the walk and jogging with the incline and I never Been to Germany so it was exciting to see

Resistance in app doesn’t match bike

lsocoee

App says I’m going uphill but bike has barely any resistance. Please, add setting to allow user to input user desired max and min resistance and have the iFit resistance scaled to appropriate level on the exercise bike.

Disappointed

I just bought the pro form spin bike from Costco. Comes with a free year membership. Love the idea of “follow the trainer” However it never gets challenging, I have to change the resistance for every workout. Also, how can it not sync with Strava?!! I gave it a 2 because it has good workouts. Will not be renewing if the above are not fixed within the year.

Motivating!!!

Wow!!! Watching the videos and the trainers are so motivating. Without them I would have stopped way earlier but I not only finished but I did a second run.

Great content but ONLY if it allows you to access it!

BayAreaCat

Bike is great and the app pairs OK but it goes to a manual default mode even when you select a specific ride under the Browse option. So frustrating that I just skipped using the trainer mode today because four attempts is my limit.
